"Carnivore visits Sweetgreen for the first time. There are 939 Sweetgreen locations in 17 states and DC. States with the most: NY 250, CA 154, MA 127. The first time I ever visited a Sweetgreen was in downtown Washington DC in April 2022. Temperatures hit 89 degrees the first days of our week stay, and this place was only a block away. First time wife and I shared a guacamole greens salad, but with balsamic vinaigrette. Dish came with sliced chicken for $11.95. Wife gave me all the red onions, while we both fought for the guacamole. Took it back to our hotel, remembering to bring plastic utensils, with salad dressing on the side in containers. Second time wife got the Chimichurri chicken dish, while I got the Harvest Bowl, which came with chicken. The chimichurri sauce was way too sweet and spicy. The Harvest Bowl raw kale didn't blend well in taste with the offered combination. Forgot to substitute mixed greens for the raw kale, and red onions for the blue cheese, and had to toss them. Build yourself salads start at $9.95. No added cost for wild rice and mixed greens. $1.50 for sliced egg, $3.25 for sliced chicken, $0.50 for tomatoes, $0.50 for sweet potatoes. I take their standard salads and substitute mixed greens or romaine for the raw arugula or raw kale, and parmesan cheese for blue cheese, or goat cheese. Limited indoor and outdoor seating, with maybe four tables, each seating two or three people. If you want a seat you may have to hope the stranger already seated is charitable enough to share a table with two old farts. Closed on weekends and after 6pm on weekdays. It's that kind of neighborhood. There are 23 Sweetgreen locations in the metropolitan area of DC in Yelp, almost as many as the 28 McDonald's locations. No overlap of customers."

Never got to go in. 7p closing on here, 6p on the business, but arrived at 547p and the door was locked. Employees inside cleaning up. Deeply disappointed.

The staff at this restaurant were enjoyable and the food was delicious. I ordered the harvest bowl and it did not disappoint. I would rate the food a 5 out of 5.

I have to say, Store Associate Nancy is truly the best! She is so kind, quick, and has an incredible attitude. I always receive excellent service when I go there for lunch! View menu

This is an awful location as they constantly close early, telling customers they don't have protein or lettuce at 930, so they can leave early. If they don't want to work a full shift they should just turn off rhe lights and shut the doors, instead of wasting the time of patrons .Food: 1/5

As a vegetarian I prefer no meat. The lady doing the kale salad was mad and unpleasant. Did not want to serve me and my friend. Was in a rush with an attitude, and the place was not even busy. She asked us to order everything at once…Maybe she was having a bad day… bad vibes… no reasons for that. Terrible customer service.

I'm always a huge fan of Sweetgreen and this location was solid. I love that they change up their menu providing some seasonal options in addition to their usual standard menu. While my go-to is usually the buffalo chicken salad, I tried their new summer peach and goat cheese salad which was awesome. I love that you can even add proteins to salads as well if you want to upgrade them. Sweetgreen is a consistently solid salad place with good quality and fresh ingredients that you know you can trust to deliver a healthy and fresh meal. View menu

I received an email notification that my order was ready for pickup, but when I arrived I was informed that there was no kale prepared for my kale Caesar salad. The employee explained that they were short-staffed for the day and no one had prepped the kale. I was then told that I would have to wait for someone to wash the kale and start the prep work. As I was on my lunch break with limited time, this was extremely inconvenient for me. It is unacceptable that a salad place did not have their ingredients prepped in advance. The fact that this location is understaffed is not my problem and should not impact the customer service or experience.

Before would of gave them 4-5 now place is going down. Last two salads were done by newer workers that weren't trained well on medium dressing. My salads had more than I would get asking for a lot. It was hard eating the salad, forced myself to because I paid over $10 for it. The bread was good because there was a lot of dressing left over for it. I walk the salad back to work so I could ask for more greens to try and see if that would help it.I have seen the place beyond packed and they sure do get the line moving, it's very clean and workers are real nice. Not the restaurants fault but DC ruined it by forcing you to have a vaccine card. Without one you can't stay only pickup. So even if i w...
