"In my recent visits to this restaurant, I've encountered consistent issues with my orders being incorrect. Each time, I've had to pull over in my car only to discover that the food is not what I requested, making it inedible. The last time I called to report the mistake, the employee who prepared my meal insisted that she didn't make an error, implying that I was lying. I was taken aback by her defensiveness. By that point, I was already on the freeway and unable to return for a replacement, so I expected at least an apology or some sort of compensation, especially since this isn't my first experience with such issues. Instead, she abruptly hung up on me and demanded that I drive all the way back to show her the burrito. I want to emphasize that I was polite throughout the conversation—mostly just in shock at how it unfolded. I can no longer support a business that treats its customers this way."

Poorly wrapped burritos, they charge for salsa, and just not that great food. Save that money and go somewhere else in the food court.

Lengua tacos here are really good. Some folks don't like lengua (tongue) but the flavor is so good and beefy and the meat itself is soft. Solid tacos. View menu

Okay, it takes a long time to come back. went last week with the family and ordered a carnita burrito, the burrito was pure fat, raw like fat and tasted like fat. only the thought makes me want to get sick now. dreadful taste. not again hter.

Overall: 3.5/5 Ordered 3 asada tacos at 1.85 each and 2 lengua tacos at 2.35. These tacos are way cheaper than any other tacos around. Despite the cheap price, the tacos had a ton of flavor. The only bad thing was the greasiness of the asada.

I was happy to discover this restaurant at the Hillsdale food court, especially since it wasn't already a one-way spot in the RWC area. I usually stick to the tacos or sopa, but this time I decided to try the carne asada salad. My order arrived quickly, and the portion was generous, including rice, beef, salad, and tomatoes. It also came with guacamole, salsa, and sour cream. The dish was bursting with flavor and quite filling! View menu

As a child, I visited Redwood City after dining at El Grullense, and I've been there twice. The carne asada tacos were fairly standard but tasty. I really enjoyed the mango agua fresca as it wasn't overly sweet, which is a plus for me. During the weekend, I decided to order a super burrito, and I was surprised to find that it didn't come with guacamole. I initially thought there had been a mistake, but upon checking the menu, I learned that a "super" burrito is simply defined by its acidic toppings and cheese. Overall, I would recommend sticking with the tacos and tortas, as they are the best options.

I ordered an Al pastor super nachos and super burrito. Taste was to expectations. The 1-star review is for the food poisoning symptoms which immediately followed consumption by both me and my wife. In retrospect I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. To go orders are kept in the bottom shelf of a prep table with no heat source to maintain safe food temperatures. My guess is my food sat for too long in the temperature danger zone, even though it only took me about 15 minutes to pick up my food. Possibly bad hygiene on the staff's part. In summary we got food poisoning from their food, will never go back there again. Disappointed because we eat there frequently and this hasn't happened befor...

"Curry Hyuga had long been on my culinary radar, and today, I finally had the chance to experience it. The occasion arose as I needed to pick up my partner at SFO later, and given the mere 10-minute drive from the restaurant to the airport, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to satiate my appetite and make the most of my time, rather than aimlessly circling around the airport. Conveniently, there are numerous public parking lots scattered throughout the town. The restaurant opens its doors at 11:30 am, and I arrived promptly at 11:25 am, only to find a queue already forming outside, as depicted in the photo. The attentive server, Yuki promptly greeted each customer and kept my water glasses filled, setting a positive tone for the dining experience.Opting for their Signature Curry Rice Entree, which features their caramelized onion curry accompanied by shredded cabbage, creamy potato salad, and Fukujin pickles, I decided to elevate my meal by adding Chicken Cutlet Katsu Curry with Chicken Karaage as additional toppings. To my amazement, my order was delivered to my table in a mere 3 minutes, which left me thoroughly impressed. Curry Hyuga's standout feature is their incredibly tender meat, perfectly complemented by their mouthwatering curry—a true masterpiece with Kanazawa-style sweetness and richness that sets it apart. To further customize your dish, they offer a selection of five different spices: Ichimi Togarashi, Jalapeno Pepper, Pequin Pepper, Wiri Wiri Pepper, and Orange Habanero. I had the pleasure of sampling all of them, and personally, I found the Wiri Wiri Pepper and Orange Habanero powder to be standout choices. Their spiciness elevated the curry to a whole new level, complemented by the unique fragrance of the peppers."

"I made reservations here for Valentine's day and everything was perfect! Their service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and with each dish it was cool how they talked about the food and explained some of the tastes and flavors just before we began eating. And they get huge props for accommodating my dietary restrictions and modifying almost every item on their menu to something I could eat! (5/5) Osetra caviar I normally hate caviar, but this one was really good! It's cured so it's a bit salty (4/5) Sauteed baby abalone Pretty good, although it doesn't quite compare to ones I've had in the past. That said, one doesn't eat abalone often, so I think the bar for abalone is pretty high (5/5) Warm lobster salad Wow! The lobster was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. Also I thought the charred avocado was interesting; they blowtorch the avocado to give it a slightly tougher texture on the outside, mirroring the lobster (4/5) Braised Lamb Ragu The lamb was exploding with spices and flavor, although it was a tad dry inside. The pappardelle was perfectly al dente (4/5) Black Cherry Sorbet Pretty good, the puffed black rice was a bit hard (one of the pieces was like a rock) but the sorbet was flavorful without being too strong (5/5) Hokkaido A5 Wagyu This was the star of the show. Have you ever had steak that melts in your mouth like butter?? The only problem with this dish is that there were only 2 slices of steak! I wish there were 3! (5/5) Spicy Kiss Passion Fruit Juice They made a modification and gave me a small shot of spicy, fizzy passion fruit juice. The chili had a lot of heat but actually went well with the sourness and fizz of the juice. I would never have though of making passion fruit spicy, but it was pretty tasty (4/5) Cubed fruit stack I don't know what to call this since they also did an entirely separate fruit dessert for me, but it was essentially a Rubik's cube made of watermelon, kiwi, and strawberry, topped with a dark chocolate covered strawberry. (5/5) House made meringue I also don't normally like meringue, but this was like candy and tasted amazing! Thanks Viognier for a wonderful evening and accommodating my dietary needs, everything was solid!"
