"I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was lacking, the food was cold, and the lobby was not clean. I ordered two dinners: an enchilada and a tostada, placing my order at 6:40 PM. There was only one other customer ahead of me who also ordered two dinners. Unfortunately, my food didn’t arrive until 7:24 PM. When I got home, my fiancé discovered that his tostada was not prepared as requested; he had asked for extra onions and cilantro, but there were none. Additionally, we received only one mild sauce instead of hot sauce, which we specifically requested, and it would have been appropriate to have two sauces since we ordered two meals. While waiting in the lobby for our cold food, we noticed cobwebs in the corners and that only three out of six lights were functioning. The TV was also out of reception. I won’t be returning to this restaurant and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone."

"This is a home away from home for me. Pete the owner here is from the same city of China my friends family are from (Pagoda Inn was in Griffith IN), so the food is 99.9% the same as my friends Mom and Dad used to make. The culture is there obviously, and Andy, Alyssa, the staff there is wonderful. Service is spot on. Food is great. Have enough for date night just the 2 of us, or a family of 12, Pete can accomplish and accommodate your needs. Remember, the American taste is a bit different from the Chinese pallette, we American like sweet tasting, they like sours and spicy. Hot and sour soup is a perfect example. My family and I will continue to come here whenever we need the comfort food of China. A+ across the board."

"I recently moved to Hobart within the last Month. I received a coupon and menu in the mail for this restaurant. It looks sooo appetizing I couldn’t wait to try this new pizza place! When we arrived and walked in to pick up our food, the waitress literally said, “I was just gonna smoke my cigarette, but lemme go in to get your order.” We immediately felt unwelcomed. My fiancé asked her if they had any Parmesan packets for our pizza and she replied with, “IDK, did you order it??” The service was AWFUL. When we got home, we were hopeful that the food would be good at least. That was not the case. Everything tasted sooo bland and unseasoned. This is my first restaurant review I have ever posted, and it is because it was the worst service I have ever received. The food was not awful, but definitely not good. Very disappointed."

"I enjoy going out with friends for drinks, but hate how most bars just have generic bar food. The food here is high quality and a great place to stop for a meal as well as good drinks. The more you come here, you start to just become part of the family here. Owners Jeff and Katherine are very friendly, the regulars are so nice, and the bartenders/servers are great. They also have a pool table, do neat events, and if you are a bears fan, you have to come for the Sunday football games, you're bound to have a good time and enjoy the buffet."

"I use to go to Cafe 339 on a regular basis but the last 3 times I went everything was terrible. Today I paid $12 for 2 eggs, a piece of hand the size of my 11yr olds palm, no potatoes or anything else with it.. eggs were so slimy I couldn’t eat them, the ham looked like I got the trimmers was hard, toast was good at least (as I roll my eyes) I got my order to go so I can go watch a baseball game received no napkins or plastic utensils, Guess it didn’t matter since it went to waste! No next time for me, I’ll cook at home. Wish I could share a picture of my order!"

"I visited this restaurant once and I must say, after my first experience, I am already eager to go back. This establishment specializes in seafood, so they are well-equipped to handle any seafood dish. I was able to try two of their dishes and both were delicious - I would rate them a 10. The drinks on the menu were pre-made, which was not a deal-breaker, but it would be nice to see some personalized options available. The prices are on the higher side, but in my opinion, the experience is well worth it. This restaurant would be a great choice for a date night or a prelude to a fun night out."
