Truly authentic... had to bust out my high school Spanish for some things. Great service and excellent food. Really busy on a Tuesday night, which tells me the locals dig it.Food: 5/5

this was the slowest Mexican restaurant I've ever gone to. I ordered rice, beans, shrimp and beef. it took well over 20 minutes for me to get my order, brooms and cleaning supplies were left right on the table I was waiting at, and my shrimp and carne asada was overcooked.Food: 3/5 View menu

Hey! Lady's and gentlemen, looking for THE taco or mexican food? It's Taqueria El torito... Why you ask? They are the best I had. Everything has extreme flavor from Mexico. Sauces to choose from, hot to mild. The mexican street food feeling is there too. It's WORTH the travel, you WILL come back. They speak a lil English so knowing some Spanish can help that why I knocked a star off. They need both languages to better.

The food here is fantastic when they get it right. If you speak Spanish, that's a plus, but if not, you might end up with something different from what you ordered. Some staff members are more fluent than others, and if you’re lucky enough to have the right person help you, you'll be in for a delicious experience. It really satisfies my cravings for Mexican cuisine. However, the restaurant could use some renovations. It's quite warm inside, so I recommend ordering takeout instead. Be prepared for a bit of a wait for your food, so calling ahead is definitely a good idea.

Soon as I learned they had Gorditas, I about kissed the waitress. This place has authentic Mexican Food. Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed in my gorditas. While the tortilla itself was delicious and crisp, the carne in it was a little bland. How about some salt? Sal? Maybe give some Lima? I will say, their salsa is out of this world. They have several different salsas, with a verity of heat levels and taste. This place is a little better than your average American Taco Shop, where the food taste like it comes from north of the Missouri River. This place seems to serve food from the Rio Grande.
