Taqueria El Torito - Carta

Authentic Mexican food here. I love this place and regularly come and enjoy their excellent food.

I got taco's and they were all amazing! I loved the variety of sauce options that I got to make myself!

The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was fantastic. I ordered the shrimp tacos, which were generously packed with filling. I will definitely return! Ver carta

Some the best enchiladas I've ever had, although it don't matter wat meat u say, they kinda jus make it with what they have I think but all of them are amazing

The El Torito family brand is well known in KC. Great for grocery, meals or catering. This last visit was a catering order for Christmas and everything was excellent.

The chips were cold, and there was hardly any ice in the drinks. The waitress didn't speak any English, so we had to show her pictures of what we wanted. The food was okay, but the sour cream on the flautas was watery and didn't taste good. I believe they can do better. Ver carta

On a positive note, they do have a numbered menu similar to McDonald's, which makes ordering easier. And don't forget to check out the other side of the store, where you'll find Mexican candy, bread, vegetables, meats, and more hot food options. Lastly, make sure to grab some fresh, warm corn tortillas to take home! Enjoy your visit!

I had some of the best food I've ever tasted! My partner, who is from Mexico, mentioned that his dish came in a close second to his mom's cooking. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures from before we dug in, but I have to say that the chilaquiles with carne asada rojos were the best I've ever had. They had a bit of a kick, but it was absolutely worth it. The staff were very friendly, though I should note that they don't seem to speak much English. This wasn't a problem for us, though, as I know a little and my partner is fluent.

We typically visit the El Torito in KCK, so we were excited to see more locations in KCMO and give them a try. Although the service wasn't lightning fast, the waitstaff were very friendly and patient. Our food arrived fresh and hot, and we enjoyed it so much that we ordered a second round of gorditas! Overall, I think I prefer the Central St location in KCK a bit more, but this location certainly left both my wife and me feeling full and satisfied for under $20! I did feel a bit awkward leaving, though, since I paid with a card and there was no option on the receipt for leaving a tip. Ver carta
