"Although the restaurant presentation was good, the area that my wife and I were seated in was not clean, there were nacho chips all around the floor area, and I had to ask our server if he could clean the area for us. Our server did an OK job, it was not the best service, and I believe that it could improve. What originally attracted me to the restaurant was the menu online. It was our first time having dinner there and we were planning to order specialties plates to try, which we did. Once we got our food to our table, we came to the conclusion that it was not what we were expecting, the food quality was not good at all for those specialty plates. First off we had our chips with 3 different sauces, in many Mexican places that i have visited the chips come warm and crunchy, but this time they were cold, the red sauce was bland, it tasted like a combination of Ketchup and Tabasco, they did not look fresh made, the green sauce was bland, and so the bean puree as well. My wife ordered guacamole, it was bland and I believe that it could improve the flavors. Afterwards, our specialties came to the table, my wife had the Salmon Puebla Style and I had the seafood paella. The salmon dish was bland, the filet was too small, I did not like the texture of the salmon, the sauce that was on top tasted like barbecue sauce, it was sweet and bland, lots of greens on the plate and quinoa was bland as well. I ordered the seafood paella, and I can say that it was the worst paella I ever had. The dish is too greasy and I honestly did not understand the flavors and the concept of it. I have tried many different types of paellas and I can say that this one was not one. This place charge too much money for this quality of food and if these were two specialty plates i wonder how could it be for the rest of the dishes, i paid 109 dollars for it, and the only thing i liked was the ginger ale that me and my wife had, it is embarrassing to say that i have paid less money in other Mexican restaurants for better quality, it is going to be the first and last time for this place, i would not recommend it."

Was in the area for a family members wake. Traffic was atrocious on 95s, so I pulled into the marketplace for dinner. Had the grilled vegetable Nachos. The best nachos I have eaten. This place didn't just pile the ingredients on the top of the tortillas. The yummy toppings were placed throughout, so every bite was enjoyed. Absolutely delicious! Our waiter was attentive. Good experience for my 1st visit after a very sad day. Looking to return soon. View menu

This place has good drinks and pleasant, attentive, and informative servers. It's clean, appealing, and kind of generically upscale looking. The food is high quality and prepared with care. The ribs we ordered were cooked until the meat was falling off the bone. It was also bland. This is Mexican food for white people. And, to be clear, I'm white as they come. I mean no insult to any particular white person and am invoking a stereotype for effect. And man, does it ever apply. The only food they served that I wholeheartedly liked was the bean dip. The rest was definitely not bad, but also not interesting or particularly flavorful.

"had a nice dinner at Davio's on a busy Saturday night with my wife. we had reservations and upon arrival it was a hoping place. We were seated about 15 minutes after our reserved time but that was because it was a bit backed up. We were seated near the bar in a roomy booth. We were immediately approached with water, pop-overs and a drink order. I would guess that it was about as a busy as it could get....a Saturday night leading up to the Holidays will do that...for sure. We were not sure what we wanted to do....should we order a few appitizers and share those or should we get a main dish. Everything that was passing the table looked great....we sat and chatted before deciding to get a main dish each. I ordered the 8 oz filet, cooked medium well, with some mashed potatoes. My wife ordered an Asian salad with avacado, peanuts, carrots, noodles, which they told her was big enough for two. As we ordered, our drinks were refilled and table cleaned up a bit from the crumbs and empty glasses. Upon receiving the food, I was a bit worried that we didnt order enough food. The 8 oz seemed small and I was thinking that maybe I should have ordered some asparagus or brocolli to go along with the potatoes. I was wrong, what I ordered was perfect. The steak was cooked perfect and was soo good! My wife's asian salad a a perfect size for her, as well. She was thrilled with the size and the taste. After finishing dinner, we were asked about dessert but neither one of us were interested. We were approached by a Manager, who asked how everything was and if the service was up to par. We answered in the affirmative. We were both thrilled with how the entire experience was. i gave 5 stars because what we received for service and food was what we expected. Excellence!....we will be back, for sure, in the late winter/early spring for another great night out! Something to consider: Parking is great! No hassle trying to find a spot....which is always something that I take into consideration. I love the Seaport and eating in the North End, but the parking is something that you need to start thinking about 30 minutes before you even arrive in town!"
