When the buck snorts, people notice and with good reason. This place serves up a host of memorable menu items. Our fried pickles and tater tots were delightful.Food: 4/5

The building was cold but the food was hot. They were out of some items on the menu. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 on the food was the brisket. Way too dry and not fatty enough for my taste. Still. 5 Stars overall. The sausage was amazing. Beef tips really good. Service and atmosphere is outstanding! Keep in mind that I am currently doing the Keto/Carnivore Diet, so I didn't sample their sauces. I also passed on today's special which is a Prime Rib Sandwich. Sounds amazing, but again, Keto, When in Harlan, you gotta go to Bucksnort!

We planned ahead to have a group of 26 motorcycle riders from Des Moines and Omaha meet for lunch. Shauntel was great to work with ahead of time, happy to have us come and made sure they were staffed to handle us. Once we got there the staff was great, they kept us in an area by ourselves so we could mingle, and the food was fantastic! They worked hard to keep up with our requests, especially with us moving around. We understood we wouldn't all get our food at the same time with such a large group, but hats off to all of them for a great experience! It wasn't our first time there and won't be our last!

We were in town for a memorial service and initially planned to dine at a different restaurant. However, due to an unexpected closure, we ended up walking into this place with about 20 people in tow, completely unannounced. At the time, there were only two staff members on duty, and no other customers. One of them took our order, and to our surprise, they managed to serve us our meals faster than many other restaurants do. All of our food arrived at almost the exact same moment, which was incredible! Since it was my first visit, I was truly impressed. Although I live over an hour away and may not be able to return often, I will definitely make a point to stop by whenever I'm nearby. View menu
