"Our first lunch at The Vineyards was marred by poor service and a mix-up over the price of a bottle of sparkling wine. Despite this, we decided to give it another chance, hoping for a memorable meal to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. Once again, the service was lacking. After ordering a dish recommended by the waiter, we waited and waited. Just when we thought our food should be arriving, the waiter informed us that they were out of the suggested selection. We requested the menus again to make a different choice, only to find that the prices were higher than what we had seen initially. When we inquired about this, the waiter explained that we must have received outdated menus during our first visit. Throughout this experience, neither the waiter nor the staff offered any apologies. When our food finally arrived, the meat was tough and barely warm. To top it off, although the wine was quite pricey, the glasses were only filled one-third full. We were thoroughly disappointed and won't be coming back. Additionally, I took the time to email the owner through their website to share my experience, but we never received any acknowledgment, let alone an apology. This restaurant has a lovely ambiance, but it really needs to improve its service and food to match the high prices they charge."

My husband surprised me after a tough day at work, and I was absolutely delighted by the views, food, and service—everything was perfect. I highly recommend sitting in the back of the restaurant, as the panoramic view is truly stunning.

A beautiful 2 story house that has been converted into a restaurant. The view from the porch overlooks their vineyard... very romantic! The meal isn 't cheap... but then it doesn 't taste cheap either. If you want a ;quick ; meal you can go to Red Lobster, if you want a fine dining experience you 'll love The Vineyard!

I have visited the Vineyard on many occasions. We are always very pleased with service and friendliness of staff. I first had dinner in 2001 on a visit to San Antonio and now live in Converse and have been back too many times to count, have taken family and friends and they too have been back. Thank you for the very enjoyable time. View menu

Outstanding consistent quality menu with over-the-top service. Perfect place and size for that special occasion...no competing for service. It 's a fine ;dining experience ; at a reasonable cost for what you get in return. Stroll through the lighted vineyard at night with a glass of wine for the full effect. Relax and enjoy...we did!

Best overall restaurant in San Antonio... BY FAR!!! The food is to die for, the service is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere...WOW! They have an real vineyard outside, great views and our waiter actually went outside with us and took a few pictures of us in the vineyard and rose gardens. It was as perfect a dining experience I have ever had. A

Took my girlfriend there last weekend for our anniversary and had the best time. My steak was perfectly med. rare, and I even had to get more of the sauteed mushrooms, they were that good! My girl had the Chilean sea bass special. It was buttery and loaded with seafood on top she only let me have 1 bite but it was awesome! Really romantic, walked outside after dinner. Had great bottle of wine spent $100 best money I've spent on dinner in at least a year. View menu

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary at this restaurant, and it was hands down the best dining experience we've had in months! The food, wine, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. We opted for the wine cellar and it was a fantastic choice—an incredibly romantic setting. We’re eagerly looking forward to coming back when it gets cooler so we can enjoy sitting by the fireplace. Our server, Chad, was exceptional; he helped us select our wines and even encouraged us to take a stroll through the vineyards before dinner, which we did. We captured some great photos as well! We can't wait for our next visit!

I 'm sure that this place was great back in the 80s, or whenever it opened, but the atmosphere and menu are outdated and unimpressive. The menu options reminded us of the kind of place we 'd take an aging parent: Look, Mom. Chicken Florentine. You like Chicken Florentine. We both ordered the same soup, but his was warm and mine was cold. Did these soups come from the same pot or the same microwave? Our entrees were equally unimpressive. Heavy cream, heavy salt, heavy disappointing, which is too bad because the location has potential and is not too far away from San Antonio. If they refresh their menu and interior, we 'd consider going back.
