"Log Cabin Cafe used to be one of our favorite restaurants for breakfast and dinner while we are in Yellowstone to fish each summer. This summer was quite disappointing. We did realize that the restaurant seemed to be overwhelmed with customers so the kitchen may not have been able to keep up. Five of us, family and friends, had breakfast here a couple of weeks ago. A few ordered the French toast with bacon and others ordered eggs over medium with bacon. What came out of the kitchen was very disappointing. The French toast was some strange kind of bread that was only battered on one side of the bread before it was cooked. The bacon was good but the over medium eggs were all over hard like a hard boiled egg. After a very disappointing breakfast here we didn't want to risk a bad dinner as well. We typically eat dinner as well at The Log Cabin Cafe during our weeklong fishing trip. We hope you take this constructive review to heart and bring back the quality we have come to enjoy at your restaurant. Thank you for listening."

Beautiful restaurant between Yellowstone NP and Beartooth Road. Homemade dishes: wild trout, wild home-smoked salmon wrap (delicious! , superb pancakes... And pretty nice attention. A place to repeat. View menu

We ate here for breakfast while staying in Silver Gate. The staff was very friendly. My two sons had French toast and it was okay but the bread wasn't great for French toast bread as it had a little bit of an odd taste. My husband and I both had the Cowboy Traditions and it was good.

Ate here a few years ago and recall it was pretty good. Stopped here this morning and had a terrible meal. We both ordered pancakes. Weirdest looking pancakes ever. Paper thin. Tough as leather. Zero taste. Made with flour and water? How do they even get out of the kitchen? Terrible. The place is cute though.

Super cute and kitchsy cafe a few miles out of Yellowstone National Park. There was the nicest waitress working ALL BY HERSELF in the front of the house, and she did spectacular. She was kind and calm. The pancakes were delicious, as was the pumpkin bread! They make the bread there and it is worth it. It is small and quaint, so make sure to get there early to get a table. We were let down by the breakfast at this café. Although the trout was cooked well, it lacked freshness and had too many bones, making it difficult to enjoy. The "butter crisp" hash browns were neither buttery, crisp, nor browned; they were barely cooked. The French toast was barely coated in egg. Overall, the food was bland—which explains the abundance of condiments on the tables. On a positive note, my husband did enjoy the pumpkin bread. Service rating: 3.

*Disclaimer-we stayed in July 2022, but I kept getting busy with life and kids and kept forgetting to review, but they deserve the good review. Marked as Sept 2022, but we were there in July, early August. We stopped at the cafe to get some food to go before we headed into the park for the day. Grilled cheese sandwiches all around! The cooks were so sweet and got our food out to us quickly. The sandwiches were delicious, by the way! We waited outside in the beautiful weather, watching the humming birds and enjoying the stunning views. We hope to be back in the area and stop back in on our next trip out to Yellowstone.
