"This was our first visit to Hot Springs, and while heading home, we decided to have lunch (or breakfast, really) at The Pancake Shop. I was initially concerned about the prices since the pancakes are ordered à la carte. However, when our food arrived, I was blown away by the massive homemade sausage patties and pancakes that covered the entire plate! Our server suggested the best way to enjoy the pancakes: cut a hole in the center, fill it with whipped butter, and then drizzle syrup all over. She was spot on! The pancakes were delicious, and I couldn't even finish mine—a rarity for me. My husband and I both opted for the cheese grits, and I have to say, I’m quite picky about grits. Most places just don’t make them well, but these cheese grits were by far the best I've ever had, even better than my own. My husband echoed my thoughts on the grits. Our two teenage boys wanted to try some and kept asking for more of OUR grits! Everything we had was amazing. After we placed our order, there was a bit of a wait, but while enjoying our meal, we understood why. The food is made from scratch, and that little wait is absolutely worthwhile. As for the pricing, the meals here are worth every penny. We left discussing how our experience at The Pancake Shop was the perfect conclusion to our trip to Hot Springs. Well done, everyone! You completely satisfied our family of five, and we will definitely return on our next visit to Hot Springs."

The pancakes are amazing! They are the size of the plate! The French toast is deep fried! The syrup is nice and warm. What I thought was cream cheese, was actually soft , cream, butter! The butter spread very nice! Service was good. The place is small and have limited seating, it is worth the wait!

I absolutely loved our breakfast at The Pancake Shop! Despite being quite busy, they really manage to seat you quickly. The food was simply delicious—everything had that homemade taste and appearance. The prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. I can’t wait to return! This is definitely a must-visit spot for your next trip to Hot Springs.

Best service and food I have had in a very long time!! Everyone there was friendly and really attentive. The portions are huge so keep that in mind when ordering!! The apple butter is good and i absolutely love that they serve the syrup hot! This business and it's building have good stories and I love how the town recounts their history on their menus, decor and displays. View menu

Best breakfast ever. If you are ever in Hot Springs you have to eat here. Bacon and Sausage fresh from a local farmer. Fresh squeezed OJ. Food and service were excellent. We did have to put our name on a waiting list but worth the wait. Decent price for the amount of food and quality of the food you get. Our waiter was a pro. He should offer classes on or write a book on how to wait tables and service customers.

Such an absolutely wonderful breakfast before the races! Great pancakes, eggs cooked perfect, delicious coffee, apple butter, real sausage, old fashion ham and grits! So Southern. Got to be the best breakfast in Arkansas! The way things used to be and ought to be! Made me proud to be from Arkansas though I live in Texas now. No better place for vacation than beautiful Hot Springs, Arkansas. Thank you! Coming back soon! Great service too!

What a delicious slice of ham! The bacon was absolutely perfect. The fresh-squeezed orange juice tasted like biting into a freshly picked sweet orange. The grits were outstanding. The blueberry pancakes were decent, but having tried many breakfast spots (my favorite meal), I'd rate them as average. We only had to wait about 30-45 minutes for a table, but the service in getting our food was quick. Overall, it was a fantastic breakfast experience. View menu

This is our favorite place in the world to eat breakfast!!! The ham steak is amazing...well everything is amazing!!!! Lol My absolute favorite thing though is hands down the apple butter!!! And the best thing is they sell everything next door at the Savory pantry!! So when we come to visit from Texas I HAVE to stock up on Apple butter, bbq sauce and coffee! You HAVE to come here! There usually is a wait but it's worth it!!! You will not be disappointed!

Staff was super great. The hostess came to find people in stores nearby when they were on the wait-list. Waitress was great, too. Helped us enjoy the menu and meal. Wait on a semi-busy Saturday was only 20 minutes but I guess it's usually longer in nicer weather. We tried one regular, blue berry and apple pancake. My fav was the regular. Butter and syrup look was fresh and homemade.. the orange juice, too! I think the coffee is their own blend as well. With fresh cream at the table! Also had the small ham steak which was pretty big, actually. Everything was so good and the price for all was only $32....!!! Bathrooms were messy but it was so very busy so that may be why.

"Overall our experience was a 5 star evening. The food was amazing, and the waiter was exceptional. The variety of menu items was great and service was fast but not in a rushed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting when we return to Hot Springs. We had two issues that made it difficult to give a 5 star overall rating. We had reservations at 6pm for 2 and were seated at a small table next to another four topper. There were two lovely booths unoccupied across from us and when asked about them were told they were being held for 7pm reservations. They offered to put us upstairs, which we did, and it was a bar atmosphere with a line of very bright lights shining above us. As mentioned, the food and wait service was amazing but it put a bit of a damper on the evening, especially since we had made reservations. At $250 for two people, it would seem a reservation would allow for a nicer table. Also, at 6pm, they were out of several of their specials which is hard to understand at such an early time on a Friday evening. There was an incredible outdoor bar area that we didn't know existed and would loved to have had a drink in before dinner. Fireplace, great atmosphere, clear plastic on outdoor walls to maintain heat but allow for an outdoor experience, all the pluses! Again, loved our evening, just would have been perfect had not these two items come up."
