"Went to Sage for New Years Eve dinner. Reservation was for 7 pm but was told that the “2nd” sitting was 7:30. No problem we sat in the waiting area by the fireplace sipped champagne. We ran into old friends that are locals chatted w/ them their friends. Nice. Finally got seated 8:30. The dining room is very small they had put additional like doubled tables in the small, enclosed dining room larger tables outside the dining room 4 larger parties. It felt very cramped our fabulous waitress was a bit large had to squeeze by the table.. resulting in “excuse me” 50 times. The food was good, a little slow to table but I’m sure the kitchen was overwhelmed. I will say the waitstaff was fabulous VERY accommodating , all in good moods courteous! We love this little restaurant but trying to pack em in on a holiday, doesn’t really work. The guitar player was a plus! Will b back!"

"I went to this restaurant to try their soft serve ice cream. I ordered two medium sizes in cups with a cone on top. However, I was disappointed to receive only about 3/4 cup of ice cream for $8.00. I found it to be very expensive and will not be coming back anytime soon."

"The service was slow and fraught with errors, even though we were the only customers in the restaurant. The ambiance was decent, but it was open mic night, which made it extremely loud during dinner. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The burger and fries were unsalted, and the burger was burnt despite being ordered medium. The toppings—tomato, onion, and lettuce—were piled on with sauce, causing the whole thing to fall apart when picked up. My child's mac and cheese was essentially Alfredo drowning in dried parsley; what child eats dried parsley? The fish tacos were overwhelmed by a taste of mayo and salt. The Brussels sprouts were under-seasoned and undercooked, far too crunchy, and the "seasonal fresh fruit" on top was just canned oranges. The Arancini pasta had a Cajun flavor that was poorly executed. Overall, this place felt overpriced, lacked flavor, and was completely underwhelming. I cannot recommend it."

"This place is friendly, welcoming and serves great food at a good price. The previous one star review kinda scared me as my wife and I are not white (Asian) and from the city (Sacramento). We gave this place a shot for bunch regardless. Could not have been treated and served better. Plus the breakfast was delicious, home made biscuits, chicken fried steak and sausage. The interior vibe of the restaurant is also very 1920s yet it was well managed and not falling apart, so we had a great time. My guess is that if you're willing to embrace things as they are (a diner in a small historic town) and not complain about vegan/gluten free options/ et cetera then you won't have to find fake reasons and play the race card about why you were not so warmly received."

"When this place first opened for business they had the best fish and chips in the county... now the price has gone up and portions have become much smaller as well as the quality of the fish...although the atmosphere was cool and the service was great it's needless to say I will not be going back any time soon.
