The ribs were amazing and practically brought me to tears as I feasted upon them. The fried okra and Mac and cheese were both heavenly and warmed my soul. However the brisket was a little dry but none the less was the best dry brisket I've ever eaten.

Place was clean and cool.. food was tasty but brisket and chicken where on the dryer side and for $15 a plate !!!?.... haven?t been here in over 2 years but is not like I remember it been juicy and soft .. if the place has new owners well they might not be cut out for the food industry

Worst customer service ever, cashier has no clue how transactions work wanted to charge me double. This was our number one place to go since we live in the area but will now make the drive across town if I get the craving. Food has always been very good but sad that we have to be abused to get it. I have not had a bad meal in a long, long time. My hubby and I had picked up bbq plates and chopped bbq sandwich. Unfortunately, it was not good. The potato salad looked like mashed potatoes, cream corn was too thick, and brisket was greasy. I've had family members recommend but my experience was not good. The employees were nice.

The food was just ok. Pretty sure they served boxed mac and cheese (not the good stuff either), the sausage had a super tough skin (I had to take it off the sandwich and eat it separately), and brisket was ok but not real tender. Creamed corn was pretty good though. Maybe I caught them on an off day. I will be back to try the chopped burgers.

This place been around a long time. The last time I went was when my father was alive. He loved this place. I decided to go today. Alot has changed. They renovated it. The owner is very friendly. Food was great! Prices reasonable.I paid 15 and some change for a brisket plate with 3 sides and drink.If I didn't add on the extra side it would have been 10 bucks before taxes.Parking: Extra parking in back View menu

Super friendly. Chef (cook) stays talking to you while your meals are made. Our first time here and will definitely be going back. I been craving brisket nachos for years now since seeing a pic of my kids with them from gorilla ice and everytime I went they were out. Finally got them from this place and not disappointed. I feel like a pregnant woman finally getting what I want. So damn good. Thanks guys! Edit: do not recommend chopped bun, the soggy rice or mashed potato salad

The wife and I came all the way from South Seattle/ Olympia to have their BBQ again. The Brisket was our favorite. We had the Brisket and Rib plate with a side of chicken. The only disappointing thing was an older Mexican Lady came from out the back to clean tables, however she didn't clean any tables and just touch three tables with her rag and proceeded to go straight to the garbage lid and wipe it vigorously with the rage, and go back to one of the tables and wipe it down a lot with the same garbage rag. I've been eating at The Smokehouse for many years, even before it was The Smokehouse and it was Bob's Smokehouse. The food here is really good, chop sandwiches can be a bit greasy however. Brisket here is so.e of the best Ive had, you can request it lean, marbled, or fatty.. Prices are fair in comparison to many other BBQ restaurants and portions are generous. This restaurant is a popular location for people who work and live in the neighborhood where its located. The insides are very homey country looking.
