"My wife and I totally enjoyed our time at The Wayside Inn. Sarah and her team were very friendly and truly took care of everything, especially additional ice! Our room was lovely filled with charming furnishings. The room was clean and we could hear the flowing river...very relaxing! The breakfast (included) was great. Sarah was the breakfast chef and made a delicious egg omelet. We ate dinner one night and we were not disappointed. I had a mushroom quesadilla a major hit for me! My wife had a salad which was very good. As expected, my wife had the cherry braised beef short ribs and she raved how good it was. I had the duck and was very happy it came out a perfect medium rare. Being able to talk with Sarah, I heard her vision of what she would like the inn to become. We can't wait to go back and see what improvements come next. Treat yourself, go to The Wayside Inn!"

A spectacular meal! Our whole party enjoyed it, including a vegan diner and an extremely picky child. The staff was attentive and understanding for our mysterious children, the atmosphere was festive and funny, and the food was amazing.

Although my Wayside Burger was very good, my wife's salad with grilled chicken was not. The salad part was OK but the chicken had a rubbery processed texture which made it uneatable. Our waitress was very good and the prices were reasonable but , we left dissatisfied. View menu

We've had several dinners at The Wayside and we can't recommend it highly enough. Sara, the proprietor, keeps a close watch on the dining experience. She also mixes a mean martini. The menu is creative, healthy, and absolutely delicious. We've had amazing short ribs, a divine chicken thigh-wrapped-in-bacon dish, a delicious Bolognese and fresh and surprising salads. Wayside is a hidden gem. The chef is an artist. You will love your dining experience.

The facility is rather worn, yet clean, comfortable, and homey as you settle in to the country setting. Service was very good and attentive as all special requests were honored. Our meals had good flavor, and those surrounding us looked appetizing. Portions were on the small side: very few ‘chips’ with the fish and chips for my partner, and while my salmon filet was a good size and nicely prepared, I ran out of the (side) salad it was served atop. This was a satisfying meal, although not sure we’d seek it out again when we return to the area next year.
