"Velvet Taco is a popular spot for tacos in Chicago, and for good reason. The tacos are delicious, the atmosphere is fun, and the service is friendly. I recently went to Velvet Taco with a few friends, and we all had a great time.I ordered the buffalo taco, which is made with crispy chicken tenders, buffalo sauce, Danish bleu cheese, ranch crema, carrots, and micro celery. The taco was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the buffalo sauce was flavorful and not too spicy, and the toppings were all fresh and delicious. I also really enjoyed the flour tortilla. It was soft and fluffy, and it held everything together perfectly. The service at Velvet Taco was also excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and she made sure that we had everything we needed.Overall, we had a great experience at Velvet Taco. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun, and the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend Velvet Taco to anyone looking for a great taco place in Chicago. After driving away from Velvet Taco, I had a warm feeling in my stomach and felt very satisfied. The tacos were delicious, and I knew that I would be back soon."

Really solid tacos. It's not traditional but that's definitely okay and the menu options are varied super tasty. The elote corn is also very good.

Tacos were amazing so much flavor !!! We did have to wait a bit for the food as it was super busy inside but it was well worth the wait. The queso and chips were worth the price as well. The red velvet cake looked amazing although we were too full to try it.

Food was okay. Ordered the Buffalo chicken taco and the rotisserie chicken tacos and a side of chip and house guac. Buffalo chicken taco was not the greatest and the chicken tasted like it was frozen and had too much breading. The rotisserie chicken was really good and would highly recommend for those who don't like all the add ins. Guac was good and chunky. Slow service but friendly workers. View menu

velvet taco is great, my friends and i are frequent customers of the location on Lincoln Ave. However, tonight the kitchen was backed up, totally understandable! My friends and I were waiting by the pick up location for our food when an employee, I believe his name was Matthew, rudely told us to “get out of the way”. My friends and I were confused as we weren’t in the way of the kitchen or the staff. I understand staff gets stressed when it gets busy but I just found this to be really out of pocket.

Very much gringo tacos . More of the school of thought: If It Goes In A Martini Glass, It 's A Martini ... and so these are tacos because it 's in a tortilla. One problem was, the tacos weren 't particularly hot but also the meats were a little dry/chalky. Cheddar cheese (really? ... and the flavors were perfectly nice.. but also a little flat. What I had was a Brisket Barbacoa style and a Chipotle BBQ Pork. I wish they were better and more interesting: acid, heat, umami...Staff was nice, place was clean.

Tldr; As a person who loves tacos, I was super disappointed. These 3 tacos, a coke, and a topo chico, cost me $26 and I ate half of one taco. Already I should've known when I saw the one taco shell, but no. The two on the right are steak tacos, and Ican't remember but the one on the left is some sort of pork, but the pork was like a literally piece of lunchmeat type of ham,not shredded or anything. Really disappointed, I don't understand how there are so many good reviews. I made myself wait a fewdays before writing this, but I still feel like I needed to share. The employees are very nice though!! View menu

Wasn't really sure of what to expect when we decided to dine-in. The resturant itself had very colorful art was vibrant with a descent music selection for your listening pleasure. The food pricing for that matter was a little underwhelming. We had the Elote Guac as an appetizer which was okay. I tried the Tikka Chicken Taco which is apparently a favorite, I really enjoyed the fact that the Curry wasn't over powering, it was a nice compliment to the taco. The Buffalo Chicken Fish Chips tacos weren't really anything different than you could get anywhere else. The Flank Steak Taco was by far the best of the bunch that we had. In all, I felt the food was a little over priced.

Velvet Taco Lincoln Park Team won my heart ?? with today?s experience!! As usual, I ordered their Fried Paneer Taco. In addition, I also ordered Falafel Taco for the first time but the taste didn?t meet my expectations so I politely requested themto get my order exchanged with Fried Paneer Taco. Surprisingly, the employee granted my request with a smile and was happy toget it exchanged! This little gesture shows how employees here genuinely care about their customers? experiences and they wantthem to have a great time!! Shoutout to the whole team!! Everyone of them is awesome!! ???? The Tacos taste delicious and themenu is cost efficient! I would love to see more Vegetarian Taco options in t...

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
