"The building itself smelt strange, the dining area was filthy, and let's not even talk about the bathrooms—they were disgusting and had an odd odor. This place reeks and is incredibly unpleasant. The guy taking our order was extremely annoying to say the least. He kept repeating things unnecessary and had a really snappy attitude. He was talking to us as though we were dumb for the simplest things and over explaining everything ruined the experience. Additionally, watching them package orders is extremely unsanitary; employees were on their phones, wiping things down, touching things, and then packaging and giving out orders without gloves or washing their hands."

Every time I get off work late, this is my go-to option to get ‘real’ food. One of the very few restaurants that agree with me.

Love the flavor pairing and sauce combinations. My favorite is the Cuban Pig and the elote guac. The red velvet cake is an indulgent delight. Conveniently open late.

The tacos were delicious, but I wish they were a bit larger. I never imagined river fish and chicken tikka would work well together in a taco, but they were surprisingly tasty! View menu

We absolutely love Velvet Taco! I can't help but dream about their cheeseburger taco. Even though it's a chain, they have managed to maintain high standards and quality in their ingredients, unlike some others (cough, Torchy's).

Quesabirra tacos have no meat on them. Staff said they have .2 oz of meat on each so do with that as you please… Other tacos are fine and are decent portions, but stay away from the Quesabirra unless you want to waste your money.

The customer service and food were both good, but I must echo what previous reviews have mentioned—the building has a peculiar odor, reminiscent of a pet store. Additionally, the Coke machines were not clean, and the elevator was rather dirty and had an unpleasant smell. On the rooftop, I noticed dead birds and leftover food near the tables. A thorough cleaning is definitely needed. View menu

I’ve been here a few times and gotten the birria tacos. They’re not amazing but pretty good. However the last two times they’ve barely put absolutely anything in them. I wish I took a picture so that people could see how little it is. I laughed. For $6 they give you 0.2oz of meat, their words not mine. I don’t even think I got that. They have other good tacos but again not worth it for the price. I recommend they turn the birria “duo” into one taco with a solid amount of meat. Makes more sense than two tacos with barely anything in them. Not the employees fault, it’s a bad model.

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
