"We wanted to try a 'different ' dining experience during our New Year 's Eve in Door County. Having a chef preparing meals for sharing, as our waitress professed per order seemed appealing as my wife has a number of food allergies (including a no dairy requirement) so we could manage our dinner in a unique way. Great concept, but poor execution, however. Her primary dish arrived first, before what we considered to be our 'shared ' veggie appetizer. Tasty, but lacking something my primary dish. An hour later, after all other food was consumed, my salmon dish arrived. It was tasty, but my wife basically had to sit an watch me 'dine alone ' as she couldn 't eat the salmon or sauce it was prepared in. No hostess, a lot of waitress apologies regarding delayed food prep, and potentially nice ambience . . . but it it never came off. We probably wouldn 't return for a follow up performance, but others might enjoy the interesting cuisine. Can 't really recommend to friends or family members . . . but I wish I could."

"The food is decently good, but the prices are absolutely out of control. I can see how if you are a tourist on vacation from chicago, it may not seem all that insane, but if you're a local worker and don't want to have to drive all the way to sturgeon Bay for affordable groceries you're kind of up a creek. Honestly, I cannot see how anyone can justify such outrageously high prices. I bought one paper bag of groceries, and part of the plastic bag, nothing outrageous or expensive, just some deli meat, some fruits and vegetables, some bread, maybe some muffins for breakfast and I ended up spending $65. You can get the same for much cheaper if you are willing and able to drive to sturgeon bay."

"A visit to One Barrel equated to being one of the most relaxing date nights! My husband and I visited for the first time and not only did we love the atmosphere, but the service was unmatchable. The bartender was so patient in answering our questions and suggesting drinks. We tried the Cherry Crisp Lager and highly recommend! Sitting by the fire pit was the epitome of the evening. It was cozy, inviting and a great space to connect in conversation. The whole facility was clean and the vibe was relaxed. The photo booth was a nice and fun touch to date night. We will be back!"

"I visited this past Saturday to order a chicken pot pie for pickup on Sunday. While I was there, I also decided to try a half Braunschweiger sandwich and a cup of mushroom bisque. The soup was fantastic, and the sandwich was a delightful surprise! I couldn’t resist grabbing a giant molasses cookie before leaving, and I’m so glad I did—it was delicious! Now, about the pot pie: the crust was wonderfully flaky and homemade, and the filling was packed with tender chicken and tasted amazing! Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!"

"I had to take off one star as soon as we walked in the door since we were immediately exiled into the pub because we had 3 small children.
