"Since we didn't have a menu, we printed one from their website. Upon receiving the official to-go menu, I noticed a significant discrepancy: the online menu didn’t include any special lunch combos, which are 2 or 3 item selections you can choose. That's what I had hoped to order, but I'll know better for next time. I also ended up waiting about 12 minutes longer than the 20 minutes they quoted on the phone. While I waited—during a busy time—I took the opportunity to look around. They’ve definitely revamped the space; it looks much better than before. I recommend asking about the daily special when you call, as it’s prominently displayed throughout the restaurant, though I found it a bit tacky. They also offer a few Dim Sum items that aren’t on the menu posted on the walls, which is useful to know for next time. Now onto the food! My co-worker enjoyed his Cashew Nut Chicken. I ordered three dishes to share, and the Beef with Broccoli was my favorite. The steamed rice was perfect for soaking up all the delicious sauce. The Orange Chicken was decent but tasted similar to what you’d find elsewhere. The BBQ Pork didn't look very appealing in its little box, but it was surprisingly moist, flavorful, and not overly salty. The portion size felt a bit small for $6.25, but I understand that food prices keep rising. Overall, I’d say this is likely the best Chinese restaurant Albany has to offer right now. While there were a few rough edges, my experience was quite good overall. I feel like I’ve gathered all the necessary information for takeout next time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our large order was nicely packed in a box with plates, utensils, napkins, and condiments. The only hiccup was that the sauce for the Beef with Broccoli wasn't contained in a plastic bag, which resulted in some spilling and a bit ending up on my seat. I’ll make sure to store it on the floorboard next time. I’m definitely planning to return because I really want to try the Wonton Soup!"

Delicious food! They don’t use MSG, which is a huge plus for me since I’m allergic to it. Everything I've ordered meets my expectations for a Chinese restaurant. Truly great food!

I had the chicken chow fun. It was so yummy. Brought me back to my childhood. It was juicy and yummy. Also the Lemon Chicken. That was cooked in the Lemon. It was very good. And so was the Egg Foo Young and combo appetizer. As well as the egg drop soup.

My new favourite Chinese place. Puts AB Chinese to shame, and I absolutely love them too. But Yummy House has wonderful food and the people are very nice. I love that it's tucked out of the way, almost like a little hole-in-the-wall. The prices are very affordable. They do take-out too! View menu

Have always had a great time here wether I'm eating in or dinning out. The food is always great and the lady at the front seems to always be in a great mood. Can't say enough for this little place. Good prices for the amount of food you get. It is my favorite Chinese food place in Albany

Yummy house has been a family favorite for the last decade. We have come several times a year and is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the Albany Corvallis area. A classic ma and Pa restaurant where they are very considerate and nice. The food is also delicious most of the time we do take out especially during these trying times. In the photographs you can see my orange chicken crab puffs and their pork fried rice. I always leave satisfied at yummy house.

Beyond the fantastic service, the food is truly exceptional. The potstickers are the best I've ever tasted—cooked to perfection. And don't even get me started on the orange chicken; each bite takes you to culinary heaven and back. They've recently added BBQ Pork Buns and Custard Buns to their menu. The BBQ Pork Buns are delightful, offering a perfect blend of BBQ flavor and subtle sweetness. As for the Custard Buns, they are simply amazing. While the interior could use some updates, it certainly doesn't detract from the outstanding food and service. I wholeheartedly give this place a thousand thumbs up! View menu

I've always enjoyed the food from this restaurant; it’s consistently excellent. Those who complain about the decor really have no grounds for their complaints. Whenever I place a takeout order, the food is always hot, and they typically provide generous portions. The customer service is outstanding. Managed by the owners and perhaps one server, they do an amazing job delivering food that’s both hot and timely. I've placed call-in orders and also dined in, and by the time I arrive, my food is ready to go. When I get home, it’s still piping hot. I prefer this Chinese restaurant over any others I've tried in Albany.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Albany! The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. If you encounter slow service, don't let that deter you—it's worth the wait because everything is made fresh to order. For instance, the fried rice is prepared on demand, so it’s always served hot and never sits around. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a hurry; instead, I visit for the quiet atmosphere, high-quality food, and the warm, friendly family that runs the place. They source fresh ingredients from local vendors and are very accommodating with special requests, like making dishes without breading. Their fried shrimp is all meat, with no tails to worry about, and all chicken dishes...

"We had requested the rounded corner booth in the main dining room and arrived 20 minutes early, planning to enjoy a cocktail at the bar. But instead, we were seated at a booth right next to our preferred one. A couple finished their meal shortly after we sat down, well before our 6:30 reservation. We ordered a Beefeater gin and tonic and a very dry Beefeater martini. Both drinks had an unusual, perfume-like scent that was quite off-putting. My wife sent her drink back, and I decided to switch to a Bombay martini, but the same strange floral fragrance persisted. I regularly enjoy Beefeater and Bombay dry martinis and have never experienced this odd aftertaste before. For my main course, the Duck and Porcini confit ragu had hardly any duck in it. There were only a few shreds of duck meat hidden in the tagliatelle, but no substantial pieces. My wife’s Pesto and Shrimp dish arrived swimming in a broth. While this might be a traditional way to serve it, there was no mention of broth on the menu. She had expected the pesto to be coated on the pasta and oily, rather than soupy. As much as we have loved Capriccio over the past three decades, this experience was disappointing. We didn't even stay for dessert. We'll certainly return, but I hope to avoid writing another negative review. I usually don’t share my thoughts unless absolutely necessary, but I felt compelled to do so this time."
