"A decent local Indian spot right on Ditmars Blvd, however, having been to many great Indian restaurants outside of NY this place fell short. The interior, although spotless, felt sterile and unwelcoming, definitely didn't have the cozy atmosphere that I typically get in Indian restaurants.Food was okay; we ordered the 3-course dinner which came with an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for $18 per person. The samosa I ordered was spot-on, fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. Curries were a hit as well, yet despite that, they didn't mask how overcooked, dry, and tough the chicken was and the rice similarly bland and dry. Thankfully we ended our meal with a fragrant bowl of kheer. The meal felt like a roller coaster, a mix of good and not-so-good qualities."

"We dined at the restaurant during restaurant week and had a fantastic experience. Although our reservation was delayed, it was a busy night, so that was understandable. The food was quite tasty, although some dishes felt a bit similar, with a recurring green sauce or spice profile, and leaned towards the sweeter side. Nevertheless, everything was delicious. I would highly recommend it to anyone with an adventurous palate. The atmosphere was lovely and the ambiance was beautiful with a great vibe, especially in the bar area. I have no complaints about the service; everyone was very courteous."

"AVERAGE food with nice ambiance! I ordered Chilean sea bass, it came with a 1 lb. of onions and a small piece (NOT) tender, full of sauce piece of fish, which I know for sure was NOT Chilean sea bass. 30 bucks later, it was not good at all with tasteless fried rice. Edamame had so much salt, couldn't eat it and rolls were so tiny, left hungry. Now I know why the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night."

"I?ve visited the restaurant last Saturday and the place was pretty busy. The food was good overall but not of the quality of restaurants back in Greece or Cyprus. The music was quite good but it was a bit uncomfortable to notice the old lady that Ibelieve she was the owner persistently asking the female singers to go and grab some customers, a group of aged men that shelooked to know them, and dance with them. That same lady on a couple of occasions came and pushed the chairs of our table, forproviding more space to the specific group, without asking us and ignoring the discomfort she was causing. Finally, when Ireceived the final charge on my bank account, it seems that they rounded up the final amount. It may be a few dollars more butthat?s so unprofessional. Overall the night started good but ended with a big disappointment."

"Looove the lamb shank and they are nice. Have only gotten takeout.Edit: not sure if they still make lamb shank but went again and had a chicken platter. Sat down to eat at the little table they have and it was soooo good. Their tea is the best. It tastes like the tea I had at a luxury spa in another country. Sometimes I stop by just to get tea. They are always so welcoming."

"I have the falafel bowl. if they discuss about this place in comparison to another one about their Falafel place, please don't see. it is a Sunday night and I decided to satisfy my falafel all the way from richmond hill. it was the best choice ever. the falafels taste amazing a fresh, so did the salat, pickles, cauliflower, hummus. that will be my new one. next I would like to try the falafel and chicken bowl. please support their local businesses! that was really delicious!"

"We got two different cocktails which honestly were not great. We took a couple sips and abandoned them deciding to go with a bottle of wine instead. As a former server, I would have taken them off the bill but that didn't happen. However, other than that, the food was delicious, the wine was perfect and the atmosphere is always chill. We got the steamed mussels, Portuguese octopus and a 3 cheese plate. Get the selles-sur-cher! It's a very creamy ash covered goat cheese that melts in your mouth. It's not as pungent as some goat cheeses but was my absolute favorite."

"I tried this place for the first time in this week and it was great! ordered the astoria style sandwich and subbed the Swiss for provolone, and really enjoyed it. only $5.50 and was quickly done! prawan in register was super nice and it wasn't too much for a late lunch. I will try some of their smoothies juices next!"

It was 3 different people having a horrible experience at your restaurant. I have been atthis restaurant multiple times for over a year and the experience is always the same: terrible service. Even though I appreciatethe free round of drinks (after you reading our review) I don’t go to your restaurant for free drinks, I go to your restaurantfor the good food and hoping to receive good service. But that’s never the case. Instead of saying that I am a one starcustomer, you should use this as constructive criticism since after evaluating other 1 star reviews is obvious that we are notthe only people that appreciate the good food but dislike the terrible service that is being offered at this place. Train yourstaff instead of discussing with me. The waiting time for the “check in” wasn’t the problem, the bad attitude and thelack of attention was."

"I ordered this through Uber eats and it was pretty good the first time. I ordered a cinco de Mayo wrap and it was long and full and it was drenched in sauce which I really like and I also got fries that were nice and salty. However the second time I got the same order it was significantly smaller and did not include the chipotle sauce that it came with so it was dry and instead of the guac that it came with the first time I got slices of avocado and the fries were not good. I would say if you liked it the first time do not get it again or you won’t get the same experience."

"I go to this place often for my kid because my kid loves pizza every time .I go and order plane pizza and the girl (young girl) who is there is heating me up the pizza and I tell her well you cut me into small pieces every time she cut the pizza very dirtyknife.(Because of , I?m Muslim we don?t eat without halal food and I know before she cut different types of pizza of that knife).I tell her to wash it and bring it. "This restaurant deserves recognition for its efforts. They offer high-quality napkins and chopsticks, which is a nice touch. However, the seaweed used for the rolls is cut a little too short and doesn’t completely wrap around the rice. Furthermore, the fish on the sushi is rather thin, and there's not a lot of rice underneath. While there's nothing fundamentally wrong with the food, it gives the impression of being prepared by someone still honing their skills rather than a seasoned professional."

"Established in 2021 and located on 30th Avenue in Astoria, this narrow local bakery offers a variety of Colombian delights and was luckily open on Christmas, when my cousin and I came for lunch as first-timers. Upon entering, the Parceros Bakery II was already hopping with patrons enjoying their meal, with only 2 tables left. We were greeted by the staff and sat in the back. The interior was clean and colorful, with Christmas decor and festive music playing. Their menu is posted on the wall with typical baked items such as pan de jamon y queso, arepa de chocolo, or a good selection of hot food, i.e., chorizo, empanadas, tamales, and chicharon. Their popular selections are beef empanadas, baked chicken, and assorted soups. We decided on carne molida (ground beef) accompanied by yellow rice and boiled potato, as well as their Tamal Tolimense accompanied by a small arepa quenching with Colombian soda. I opted for one chicken and one beef empanada to go. The meal arrived hot and full of flavor, and the portions were generous. However, the arepas were served cold and hard. The food was authentic, delicious, and fairly priced. The service was good and friendly. We could recommend this place."

"On a holiday weekend, I returned from the city to Long Island and wanted to grab a bite to eat. Craving Greek cuisine, I checked out the reviews for this place and was amazed by how many positive ones they had. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by lively Greek music, the vibrant red boxes behind the counter, and mouthwatering aromas in the air. I couldn't even find out about the prices because the delicious food quickly made me forget about it. It felt like a little slice of Greece right here. The owner was friendly, and the staff had warm smiles. Everything was clean and inviting, making me feel right at home. I was surprised at how customizable the plates were, offering a lot of great options. My four-year-old exclaimed “OPPA!” when he tried the Falafel Bites, and I can confidently say that no one will leave disappointed."

"I came to Barzolas this past Sunday and left extremely disappointed. I arrived at around 6:30p.m to be greeted by the hostess and taken to my table, there were other patrons at this time but I wouldn’t say it was a busy evening. I have come here in the past and would say even though I like the food the service has always been slow. Unfortunately, this past Sunday, service never came. We waiting for over a half an hour the waiter never even came to offer my table some water, I even switched tables to see if they notice our presence but continue to get ignored. After another 10 minutes or so of waiting, decided to get up and go. Ended up going to Bad Habits down the block in which although it wasn’t the kind of food I was in a mood for, their service made my experience much enjoyable. I will now think twice before coming in to barzolas."

"we were in the city for a class that was held in the hotel near laguardia. originally we wanted to go to manhattan, but our opinion changed after we saw how long the taxi ride would be. determined to get on opentable and see what was close. so happy that we made it! vesta was absolutely wonderful from the beginning to the end. if we have the opportunity to go back in the future, we will not pass on it. highly recommended!"

"Been coming here for 5+ years now for the delicious food. All their appetizers and entrees are cooked with flavor and to your liking. Their meat option with multiple types of meats is a favorite for everyone I go with. The option of steak and chicken are cooked well and the sides compliment the meal. Definitely get the banana caramel dessert. We never skip on it no matter how full we are."

"This is a hidden gem. When people think of a deli, they usually think of the basics, but trust me, this place is something special. I didn't pay much attention to it at first because I assumed it was just like any other deli. That changed one day when a friend of mine ordered catering from there. The food was incredible, and when I asked him where it was from, I was surprised. They say you should never judge a book by its cover, and that definitely applies here. Since then, I've been going there often—at least 2-3 times a week. The food is absolutely delicious!"
