"Came here recently for a date and was pleasantly surprised. The front entrance doesn’t give the inside any justice.The ambiance was modern and sultry. There is a brick oven in the middle however which is a reminder of the fact that Blue Steel is known for being a Pizzeria. There is music playing but not too loud that you have to put bass in your voice.We were on time with our reservation and were greeted with a smile.We started with drinks and ordered the Hi-Tea and I ordered the Sunset Durango. Both drinks were amazing. I wanted something sweet and strong, and the Sunset Durango did just that. I tried his Hi-Tea and it was on the sweeter side, but it was refreshing.Now onto the best part, the food.He ordered the Supreme pizza and I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni. The wait time for the food wasn’t that long, but even if it took long….it was worth the wait!The Rigatoni was amazing. I have no complaints, besides the portion. The portion could’ve been a little more. I really took my time eating it, because I didn’t want to finish it so quickly. I tried the pizza, and I almost fainted. It was delicious. The sauce, the crust, I am writing this wanting to run across the bridge and get this.In all, I highly Blue Steel for a casual date night, family dinner, or even a solo date. The service, food, and drinks were everything!If I’m in the area, I will be back!!!"

"Stamna Greek Taverna is an absolute treasure in the heart of the Brookdale neighborhood of Bloomfield. Also located in several top Greek restaurants in North Jersey, including Lithos in Livingston, Oceanos in Fair Lawn and Varca Restaurant in Ramsey, it makes it especially that the best Greek restaurant is in my own neighborhood! Owner Alex Angela are experienced restaurant owners who also own the Nevada Diner for 30 years. Alex's vision for Stamna is the kind of comfortable, local tavern you are in every Greek neighborhood. The brand of this restaurant is high quality ingredients simply prepared in generous portions at a reasonable price. Your fish is excellent. Grilled or fried, the Tsipoura (Greek porgie) is my go-to entree and the Lavraki (important Greek bronzino). Traditional Patates Fournou (lax roasted potatoes) and Horta are not to be missed. Charcoal-grilled Paidakia (lamb chops) are juicy and delicate. On a personal note, last week I didn't think I had just missed the closing time for the kitchen. Alex randomly came to the restaurant and asked me if I wanted to eat something. Instead of keeping his kitchen staff there at the end, he insisted on preparing something for me personally. I expressed appreciation for the offer, but went back. He insisted that it was not a problem and since I was very hungry, I broke off and accepted his generous offer! He continued to come behind the stove and prepared Tsipoura and Horta for me personally! How refreshing and what a rare treat you want to find a restaurant owner to please a customer. One could imagine such an experience, perhaps in the past or in Greece today, but how rarely in today's often impersonal culture. Alex and Angela are very dedicated to creating this kind of neighborhood tavern experience in Stamna and really glare their efforts. Stamna is a restaurant experience not to miss!"

"During my holiday visit to family, I had the pleasure of dining at Casserole Bistro for the first time. Having traveled extensively across the country, I can confidently say this was the best meal I've had all year, from start to finish. I really appreciated that it's a husband-and-wife team running the place, and they personally welcomed us upon our arrival. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and the presentation of the dishes is outstanding. My wife and I have a gluten allergy, but they made ordering a breeze for us. I will definitely return every time I visit, and I believe my family now has a new favorite restaurant!"

"Our women's luncheon gathering convened at the restaurant around 1 p.m., where we were fortunate to have Shane as our attentive server. Our culinary adventure began with a delightful choice – the soup of the day, a delectable creamy chicken creation. Alongside it, we indulged in some must-try dishes like brussels sprouts, bacon-wrapped dates, patty melts, crispy fries, and a refreshing Greek salad topped with perfectly cooked salmon. One noteworthy aspect of our visit was the timing; opting for the 1 p.m. reservation turned out to be a wise choice. The restaurant's acoustics presented a minor challenge, but it led to an interesting conversation within our group. Seated beside an architect and a commercial interior contractor, we discovered potential solutions to enhance the dining experience. They enlightened us about acoustic panels that could be strategically placed over our tables, not only serving a practical purpose but also featuring designs that could beautify the space. These panels, available in various thicknesses, offered the promise of improved sound quality, allowing us to converse comfortably without straining our voices. Furthermore, they mentioned the availability of soundproof light fixtures as an alternative for those hesitant to make modifications to the ceiling above individual tables. In the end, our dining experience was not only delicious but also enlightening, thanks to the informative conversation sparked by the restaurant's acoustics. Vegetarian options: Great salad options of course with choice of protein Parking: Nice parking lot behind building and at night if parking lot is packed you can park across the street at the Post Office or at the bank."

"I recently had a great experience at the Brookdale Restaurant. The pizza was utterly delicious, boasting a perfect blend of flavors that left me craving more. I also couldn't resist ordering their giant mozzarella stick, which went beyond my expectations—it was incredibly tasty! The only downside of my visit was the inattentive service from our server. Unfortunately, they seemed to be missing for most of our meal. Halfway through, I needed a water refill, and it took quite a while to get their attention. However, the server did finally bring the water toward the end of our meal. Despite this minor setback, the exceptional pizza and scrumptious mozzarella stick made it worthwhile. I highly recommend the Brookdale Restaurant for their phenomenal food, but just be prepared to catch the server's eye for assistance. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience!"

"I’ve been ordering from this place consistently for 3 years now and it’s time for a review. I love this place. They never mess up. I always get what I ask for and their prices are fair. Never made me sick. Never made me feel like they were trying too hard. They have their own friendly but calm vibe, which I like. I’ve gone to places like Nizi which is well known to the county here but...I don’t know, they just don’t compare. I find myself disappointed in a lot of sushi spots but I have to say, I’m never disappointed with Sushi You. They’re consistently good, so I highly recommend them!"

"It was an amazing experience not only on the pallet but on the eye. We ordered cheeseburgers. My son Joseph ordered him with bacon. A piece of bacon was done something about it and it was replaced by several pieces of perfect bacon. We sat at the well and the most beautiful candy were prepared while we eat. Of course we were too full for dessert, but we will make the next trip, soon and only for dessert."

"I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors. Despite being a vegan, I ordered a variety of dishes including Thai basil eggplant, drunken noodles, spicy chili Thai, avocado rolls, and spring rolls. The young lady working there assured me that they could modify certain dishes for vegans, which was a huge relief. Although all the dishes were tasty, my only complaint is that the portions of the stir fry dishes were quite small for the price. They were served in lunch-size containers, which was a bit disappointing."

"The overall experience at the restaurant was fantastic, except for the coffee, which was lukewarm upon arrival. I believe it may have cooled off during transit, so it is not the restaurant's fault. "The food was incredibly tasty! I enjoyed the spring rolls, chicken pot stickers, jasmine rice, and Thai iced tea. I opted for a pickup order. The service was excellent! Although I didn't order the tea initially, when I arrived to pick up my order, I requested to add it, and the woman at the counter happily accommodated my request. I didn't enter the dining area, but based on the appearance of the lobby, the restaurant seems very clean. I will definitely return!"

"This place food use to be good but after going there last night I don’t think I will return. I ordered the crab stuffed flounder as I have done many of times and I didn’t even taste it because my plate was swimming in oil. The garlic mashed potatoes taste nothing like garlic mash, it had absolutely no flavor and they taste like instant mashed potatoes. So I sent that plate back and I got the blackened salmon which is suppose to have some spices with a little spicy kick to it and once again no flavor. The baked potato looked undercooked, very small and the plate itself had nothing special to it. I’m giving two stars because the homemade sangria was delicious, my fiance and sister in law enjoyed their steaks and my daughter enjoyed her food."

"It is refreshing to have a burger joint that asks how you cooked your beef (rare, medium, well made) and is made fresh on order vs a place that throws a bunch of patties on the grill and assumes that everyone like them cooked in the same way. On all Gourmetburger options, sandwiches with toppings that there are many can be completely customized. So said the burger was made right, good, obviously fresh and juicy (quality beef) but I wasn't necessarily above the moon. This place reminds me of a glorified five guys without the peanuts and sports a cool, local mood with beautiful decor and a good place to chill. I think it beats most Burger joints and would generally recommend. I'm curious to try the other styles. Good lunch special (burger, side and drink) that rotates at $11."

"I ordered from Uber Eats around 8pm and the jerk chicken was delicious. However, I was disappointed by the Mac and cheese as it was bland and dry. The rice also tasted old with hard pieces throughout. The oxtail was good but the pieces were small and felt overpriced. Overall, I felt like I was paying too much for the amount of meat on the bones."

"If you're looking for pizza, Zi Zia is the place to be! I haven't explored their entire menu yet— that's on my list for the near future— but I have tried their pizza, and it’s incredible! I'm not sure what makes it so good: the sauce, the dough, the cheese, or the ovens, but wow, it's phenomenal. I only wish it were closer to home; I could easily eat here all the time. They do deliver to Bloomfield, as well as Montclair, Glen Ridge, and Belleville. If only they delivered to Rockaway! My wife and I plan to visit on a weekend soon, and I can't wait to dive into the full menu. The pizza is outstanding, and I'm eager to try the calzone and everything else they offer."

"I visited the restaurant with some friends yesterday, and while they had live singers and allowed us to bring our own drinks, the experience was disappointing overall. We waited an hour for our waiter to come to our table. He spoke Spanish but insisted on communicating in broken English, which was frustrating. The long wait was the most significant issue—after finally receiving glasses to pour our wine, he left them on the table without serving the wine or even bringing water. We had to get up and look for him just to place our food order, with only an hour before closing at 10 PM. We ended up ordering two appetizers and our main courses, both of which took a long time to arrive. On a positive note, the food was delicious. However, the service left much to be desired. To make matters worse, when the bill came, I was charged for an extra salad that we didn’t order; we had only requested one. In the end, it felt like a string of excuses with nothing resolved, and I ended up having to pay for it. I would not return to this restaurant and would advise others to double-check their bill before paying."
