"A visit to 80 Thoreau is always a treat, but even more so when they have a special menu. Their tomato and corn tasting wraps up today and it was fantastic. They are located on the top floor of the Concord Depot, the former train station. The space is charming both in the bar area and the dining room. I’ve been going there long enough to see dozens of servers come and go, but they are always knowledgeable and attentive. My only disappointment is that the bar burger is no longer available. It was one of my favorites. Parking: There are two lots that usually have plenty of space. There is also street parking. Kid-friendliness: They welcome kids though there are not many options for them to eat. They do offer to make a simple dish out of their ingredients like a chicken pasta, but for most kids you will need to come with food."

"We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible."

"Steak was good prime angus beef cooked the way I asked. Salmon was dry though. Waitress forgot to give us the specials until we asked and didn't come by often to check if we needed anything, when I did. Very crowded and and noisy setting if you are looking for a setting more personal."

"Had a pleasant late lunch with my girlfriend and her son(an adult). I had the beer-battery fish chips that were very good. It was decent size part of an art paper (by tradition). But my friend got the Ale Mac cheese with crabs (I think) that was absolutely delicious. So much she started to give me a look when I stole her meals. At the latest I came to the conclusion that I should just order what she does, because this is not the first time that this happened. Anyway, we had great service and had a wonderful time. Although not cheap, but it was not outdated for what we had. I'd be happy to eat again when you visit the area."

"good local ice shop, large portions, friendly and helpful staff and very popular in the local community. they have a great selection of aromen and are happy to offer taste. the main thing to note is that their sizes are super large; they may ask for child size unless they are quite hungry! Also note that there is an outdoor order switch and there is nowhere to sit; most people are in warmer weather, or sitting in their cars while enjoying their frozen tasty. he closes in january and february, so be warned."

"I'm Liking It.. I liked the town, I liked the place, I liked the location, I liked the inside, I liked the person behind the counter and I certainly liked my lunch. Only a few feet away from the tracks in W. Concord the Club Car Café was well, not exactly a step back in time but it was certainly not futuristic. It was to clean and to well-maintained to call it antiquated but it did have that old fashioned vibe. The behind the counter server was beyond friendly and well into the personable range and I was already enjoying lunch before I even ordered. She even turned on the train set which ran along the upper wall so I can enjoy the full dining experience. Someday I'll order something other than a bacon cheeseburger. Yeah, and someday I'm going to lose weight and someday I'm going to be POTUS. The food is made fresh to order so there was a bit of a wait but when it did come my first thought was; Yummy. The burger was juicy, the ample amount of bacon was crispy and the cheese was perfectly melted. The char taste didn't exactly shine through despite the almost blackened appearance which I thought was interesting. It was a great take on a traditional old-fashioned classic. The fries were hand cut and fresh, tender on the inside and just shy of crunchy on the outside. I think they leave the salting to the customer which was fine with me. The coleslaw was creamy and fresh as well. I've already told some friends about this place and I'm looking forward to another visit……All Aboard!!!!!"

"We where visiting.the area and it was close to 10pm we where looking for somewhere to grab something to eat everywhere we called was either closed or was to late to order but we found this place. and ordered pizza and some sides it was GREAT and we will be back to eat here!! "As a resident of the area, I decided to try out this restaurant on a whim, as I usually frequent Dinos. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with the sub I ordered. The employee at the front counter took a long time to assist us, and when he finally did, he was dismissive and impolite. I was dining with a companion who has special needs, and the employee seemed irritated when she asked questions. This establishment is not recommended for local residents; it seems to cater more towards overcharging unsuspecting tourists. The food was lacking, the service was poor, and the atmosphere was mediocre. Overall, not a good dining option. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3."
