"Each time I visit, I notice they seem to be mopping the floor, and the strong smell of the cleaning chemicals is overwhelming—it’s not pleasant to eat in, especially during my lunch hour from 11 AM to 12 PM. So I usually get takeout. The fries are really what keep me coming back; I wish the rest of the menu matched their quality.
Today, I tried the beef sandwich. It was good but a little on the bland side. Places like Windy City Grill, Rosati's, and Fat Ricky's serve much tastier versions, and even Pop's does it a bit better. The sweet peppers I ordered, for which I paid extra, were too crispy and clearly undercooked, so I ended up tossing them out. I only come here every four to six months, even though I eat out about three times a week. I keep hoping their food will improve, but it never does.
However, the fries always stand out. I found the prices a bit high as well—around $10 for the beef sandwich special, which included fries and a very small Pepsi. The cup was tiny, like the kind you get for a small rice pudding at a Greek restaurant—seriously, that small!"
