"See the pictures for the food! This dinning experience brought me back to 2016 in Pennsylvania (lots of German culture around), as the comforting vibe, passion in food, warm and professional services, detailed and elegant environment setting and decoration, and even price! remind me of how good it can be when a chef is the boss, so the core of a restaurant, food, is well defined, and also when the management team is strong enough to cares about overall customer experience and set their requirement bar high for environment and service. Laurie was our waitress, who has been working here for over 10 years, not only can she introduce the daily special clearly, but when I ask about brew and sauces of the pretzel, she can tell all the details about taste and ingredients, providing hot plates when we asked to share main dish; packing all the leftovers (yes, the portion of food is big and inexpensive) carefully (double foil and wrapping the bone, small boxes for sauce); besides, she let us feels like a friend in talking about food related culture. Old gentlemen Kurt and his wife was also in the restaurant during rush hour and check in with each table to see how the customers are doing. This is definitely one of the best dining experience since I move to ATL in 2020, no wonder this restaurant has been running since 1985 and made it through covid-19. I am more than happy to introduce it to all of my friends living here to try and take visitors to it."

"Their cơm tấm sườn bì chả (broken rice dish with grilled pork chop, pork loaf and pork skin) is literally so addicting, the best in town I would say. I’ve had it 7 days in a row and still love it. Their pork is seasoned very well. The fish sauce is the spirit of the dish and they never let me down. Most of the times I place an online order through the website and just come and pick it up. My tip is that even though it says the pickup time is more than 40 mins, it’s usually ready in 20-30 mins. I dine in sometimes too. At night it gets pretty busy and service may be a little bit slower because it’s the only Vietnamese restaurant that’s open late. But it’s spacious and clean and bright so I couldn’t ask for more. Some other signature dishes I’ve tried include bò né (sizzling beef), bún bò (spicy noodles soup) and they are all flavorful. I’ve been going to this restaurant for quite a while and I would say their food is really improved and a lot better than it was before. Good job and please support your local restaurant!Update: Decided to take off 1 star due to a few experiences I have had recently.First, there was a time I dined in. The restaurant seemed to be busy and understaffed, which I understood. However, we had to repeatedly ask for water and utensils but it still took like 10 mins for the water to come out, even after the food had been served.I still support this restaurant as I always have, but I have been ordering take-outs more often. I went inside to pick up my order and politely informed the staff that I was there to pick up my food. But one of them had a very rude attitude thinking that I was rushing him to give me order. He told me to wait and ignored me. Thankfully, another staff noticed me and gave me my order. But the second time of picking up my food was no better.Personally, I’m a Vietnamese myself so it’s not questionable for such an attitude. But for a business in the U.S., that wouldn’t be something that a customer would want to get. Other than that, the food is still great."

"I have eaten at the LongHorn in John 's Creek twice in May while in town on business. Both times I 've sat at the bar, and both times had delicious food and big problems with service. I order low carb most times, so I skip the bread, croutons and potato. I get a steak, salad and mushrooms for my side. That 's never been a problem and all three have been prepared to my exact specifications. Now the problems: the first time, I it took the bartender quite a while to acknowledge me. He finally did and took my drink order. Then came back after about 20 minutes to take my food order. He didn 't immediately turn it in, so it took probably 30 minutes to prepare an order that should take about 15 minutes tops. Got my salad 20 minutes after ordering it, but 10 minutes before my entree, but that was enough time to enjoy it. I finished my meal and waited for the waiter to ask me if I needed anything else. He never did and I finally flagged him down about 20 minutes. I asked for my check. Ten minute wait, finally brought it. Gave him my credit card another 20 minute wait. Nearly an entire hour just trying to pay my check. He had several people there, but spent easily half his time running receipts or something on their system. It was so bad that the man next to me, a man I didn 't know, told me You must be the most patient person I 've ever met . This week I gave them another shot. Again, a very nice bartender. Again the service was slow and inattentive, but the food was delicious. Big problem this time was my entree, which again took 30 minutes, came out without a salad. I told the server or assistant manager (who was not the bartender) who brought my entree that I didn 't get my salad, but that I expect to get my salad first so that I don 't end up with either a warm salad or a cold entree. He didn 't offer to keep the entree warm, just brought me the salad and walked away. I also wanted some A1, but the bartender never reappeared until my steak had already started to cool off. It struck me that the bartenders were for the most part trying, they just have WAY too much going on, whether it 's too much bureaucracy or too many customers. I 've been the head cook at a steakhouse and I 'm now a business consultant. I understand the constraints that restaurants deal with, especially today. And I really don 't want to hear the excuse that they can 't find enough people. They 've raised to prices more than enough to pay a living wage to their people, and a raise in prices also results in a proportionate tip increase. In the end, we 're paying much more and getting much worse service. I can only surmise that the restaurant is charging more and not passing it on to the staff."
