"We’ve been here at least a dozen times over the last year or two. Locals. Enjoy the atmosphere and service is always very friendly, but as others have noted very inconsistent. You might go 20 minutes or more without seeing anyone and have to flag someone down and get your own water refilled. Also this is the 2nd time in a row I’ve been really disappointed with portion size and quality of food. Sometimes food is good, other times the same dish will be not good the next time you come. Recently I had the Tagrashi salmon bowl and it was basically an appetizer for $17. A tiny slice of salmon that cannot be called a fillet, a small serving of rice, a handful of lettuce, and three small slices of avocado and cucumber. Just a totally unacceptable amount of food for that cost and I left hungry. Waitress did not ask us how the meal was so I was not able to comment. The time before that we were in for Sunday brunch and I got the brunch special for $24 which was steak and eggs. I got the tiniest medallion of steak you’ve ever seen, well done when I had asked for medium rare, one or two eggs I can’t remember, and a tiny portion of home fries/ potatoes. Don’t skimp on the potatoes, they’re cheap. We left saying we would not come back even though we’ve been customers for years. We tried again anyway last week but after that tiny salmon fillet, I think we are actually done. Hope Laurie is reading this and will put some real consideration into staff training, portion size, and more consistent quality of food. Thanks for considering our input."
