"Furusake (Japanese good luck doll) Japanese Ramen Dining was created by owner/chef Kazuo Ikeda in 2016, 6 years ago. I 'm not sure if it is currently the same owner, but Kaz also opened Ikeda Japanese Dining in Huntington Beach years ago. This Fountain Valley shopping plaza has many different businesses from Albertsons, credit unions, and UPS. It is an ideal location attracting many locals. It is also a great location for families as many spend time at First Class Pizza next door or at Lakeshore toy store. Atmosphere: Modern furniture, decorative decor, and over 10 tables. They have a bar that used to serve drinks and eat. Waiting list is outside and you write your name down. There are tables and chairs to wait outside. Menu: Ramen: Shoyu, Miso, Shio, Tonkatsu types starting at $12. For additional cost, you could get Meat lovers bowl which is just additional Chasu pieces. They also have Japanese curry, udon, sushi rolls, and sides. If you like variety this place has it all. However, I feel that many restaurants that branch out too much with their items like Furusake tend to lose focus on delivering well executed dishes. Ramen: (3/5) My friend order the Shoyu and I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen bowl. Both took a while to come out, but I understood the restaurant was busy. The ramen broth had a slight unami flavor and creamy texture. However, there was nothing else spectacular about the dish or ramen itself. The pork belly was not memorable at all as it was dry and had no caramelization. Takayaki: (1/5) I was hugely disappointed in this dish as the ingredients were not fresh and was drenched in sauce. There were pieces of lettuce that was at the bottom and not typically seen in the dish. The octopus was chewy and tasted very old. Service: (3/5) Service wasn 't awful, but wasn 't that great either. I 'm not sure if Furusake was having an off-day or if overall quality has gone down. Although this restaurant is conveniently located by many other businesses, there are definitely other ramen restaurants soley focusing on ramen dishes that others should try out."

"First, let’s discuss the crust. It was perfectly crispy on the outside yet delightfully chewy on the inside, providing a solid base for the explosion of flavors to come. The tomato sauce struck a perfect balance between tangy and sweet, creating a vibrant backdrop for the toppings. Speaking of toppings, they were a celebration of culinary variety. The savory and smoky pepperoni, the earthy mushrooms, and the satisfying richness of the sausage all worked in harmony. The addition of green peppers and onions offered a refreshing crunch, contrasting beautifully with the indulgent melted cheese. What truly distinguishes the Combo Pizza is the expert craftsmanship behind it. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, textures, and aromas that showcased the skill involved. The cheese melted perfectly, hugging the toppings in a warm embrace, and it was clear that this pizza was made with care and respect for the culinary art. The attention to detail extended beyond taste to its presentation. The pizza arrived steaming hot, with toppings beautifully arranged and the cheese bubbling and golden. It was a feast for both the eyes and the palate, turning every slice into an Instagram-worthy moment. And I can't forget to mention the outstanding service at First Class Pizza. The staff's enthusiasm for their creations was evident, and their recommendations added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. The Combo Pizza at First Class Pizza is a true masterpiece that exemplifies the art of pizza-making. It's a culinary symphony that hits all the right notes, leaving your taste buds dancing with joy. If you're looking for a pizza that goes beyond the ordinary and takes you to a blissful realm of flavor, this is a must-try. Hats off to First Class Pizza for creating such a remarkable dish! I only wish I’d remembered to snap a picture before devouring it—my stomach definitely got the best of me!"

"TLDR Affordable AYCE hot pot with good meats and broths. Also has some drinks you can purchase. No reservations, so plan ahead and get on the wait list when they open. Exterior 5/5 Corner of the parking lot shared with other businesses it can either be full (and you need to walk from a distance) or you get lucky and park close. It gets pretty busy close to rush hours so plan to park a little farther so you don't have to fight for a spot right up front. There are a couple benches for outside waiting since wait can be long. Interior 5/5 Small waiting area as soon as you walk in with some benches. You have the Yelp Wait list device for you to enter your name (but I like to just use my app which I recommend you do the same). It has some nice lighting in my opinion, and the ceilings are high so I don't feel like I'm smothered in the steam from the broths. There are a bunch of different tables throughout booths and tables as well as booth table mixes. Booths tend to be for smaller groups, tables and booth table mixes for the bigger groups. Service 5/5 They are generally pretty quick but you see them running when it is busy time. All the people I had were super chill and hauling broths, appetizers, and drinks all over the place. They start you off by seating you, then asking what broth you like as well as any drinks. Once you pick those they will ask what meat you want. You are free to pick the veggies, sauces, and other non red meat options at the large table spread (fish, seafood). Order 5/5 Since it's all you can eat I won't go into every single option. I like getting the Tonkotsu broth and adding some garnishes to it like garlic, yuzu, and cilantro. From there you can't go wrong with any of the meats (I tended to like the beef options and opting for the more fatty ones). They are cut thin so they cook really fast. There is a large assortment of veggies and seafood to pick from as well as sauce bar to custom make a great dipping sauce for your hot pot (or do multiple). I also like their capri soju options electric lemonade is my fave. It comes in a large caprisun looking bag with a little light in it. Overall 5/5 My go to for all you can eat hot pot. The lines can get super long so I advise getting there early and putting your name down. You need to have your whole party to be seated and sometimes the line can move fast. Just don't come too late or the wait list might be capped. I don't blame the place for being busy with around 30 bucks for all you can eat hot pot, the place is a great deal. Hint Make sure to get there early to get on the wait list last I heard no reservations and wait list can close."

"First time at Mimi's which is a bistro diner playing up French cuisine. First, the menu selection was elaborate with a blend of authentic French offerings and casual American dishes where you can get breakfast all day or go full on with a diner style 3course meal for lunch or dinner. The prices were very fair and portions were generous. You can find unusual items like crepes, croque monsieur, and the like. Also, the service was good ???? Shout out to William who was most attentive andcharming. Here's why the 3 stars rather than 5: Ordered a fresh made croissant and it was blasted in a microwave and naturallyarrived rubbery. I really don't like sending back food but this was bad. The server was gracious and kind about it. I ended upordering another no heat offered to get that real croissant, flaky goodness but no. It was dense and definitely NOT French.I lived in Paris and even if I hadn't, anyone would know this is not authentic. The other reason is because I ordered the summerfruit salad with shrimp. All supposed to be fresh ingredients but they threw in canned mandarin oranges blended with freshstrawberries and grilled pineapple. Although the vinaigrette was good. (Pictured) Will visit again but with an understandingthat there are pros and cons. If nothing else it's good for a great, hearty French styled breakfast or lunch. My son loved theberry crepes (pictured)."

"We arrived here with no line, so we walked right up to the start of where you order. The girl working looked annoyed and was frantically looking at an order receipt, walking back and forth, passing us literally about six times total. Not a single acknowledgement or that she'll be right with us. I obviously don't expect top tier greetings at a fast food restaurant, but if you're going to walk by us multiple times, at least say something and let us know you're not ignoring us. At that point, I knew right away she straight up was ignoring us. When she finally took my order, she didn't even make eye contact, which wasn't surprising by then.I ordered my usual veggie bowl, and when I asked for fajitas, she said they're all out. So then I asked for all the rest of the ingredients. As I made my way down, I noticed there was no cheese, guacamole, or lettuce. I asked about it to which she then replies that they're out of a lot of stuff because they hosted some fundraising event.... So you just didn't bother telling me this right before I ordered??? Annoyed, I looked at my husband and told him to not start his order because they're out of literally a lot of the main things. Did they expect me to just eat a big old bowl of sides and sauces?? That being said, I felt bad at first, but I canceled my order and went to another Chipotle down the street (much better experience).I completely understand that they hosted an event and that sometimes the reality is that you run out of ingredients. I have nothing to complain about with that. My problem is when you have an incompetent employee with bad attitude and can't have the courtesy to inform PAYING customers about their current situation."
