"Nice, cozy room with a small but well-designed selection of beers. The food is also very good; The starters may seem a little expensive for a gastropub, but for gourmets they are comparable in complexity and taste to dishes in the rich table, a rare find in the outer mission / Bernal. If you are looking for tasty snacks, great cocktails and beer in the neighborhood, I highly recommend this hotel."

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"Wow, Wow, Wow. For the last 3 months, I have dined here at least 7 times with family and friends all very happy and leaving with full bellies of nice quality foods. Having experienced both the lunch specials along with the rolls and even dinner entrees, you truly can’t go wrong with someplace like Blufish. The lunch special is for sure a standout served Monday Friday with items being around 20 bucks after tax. In my opinion, great deal!! Not only do you get the main, but you also get a spicy tuna roll, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken with soup or salad. Everything is pretty good on the lunch with my only critique that the entree meat is on the smaller side. It is though made up by the quantity of items served with. My only other ask is if we can get the recipe for the dressing?! From all the Japanese restaurants we have tried in the Chicagoland area, their dressing is by far a favorite of ours. We have tried a few of the rolls but they are just okay. Not one has completely stood out to us, but it is possible we just aren’t ordering good ones. Dragons were nice but the mozzarella one was a little off putting as the cheese wasn’t melted. As for the best quality item to get here is always the sashimi lunch dinner. The raw fish always tastes super fresh and for a good price you get so many pieces. I do wish sometimes I knew what I was eating : BluFish is located in strip mall with ample parking and outdoor seating. Generally, services has always been good for the served, but the bartender is a huge standout. My only negative experience would be from the host who was quite off putting on a Saturday afternoon. There are more positive ways to greet guests and she did not do that. The restaurant was also empty at that time and I don’t think having a small quiet puppy in its carrier is an issue… All in all it’s a nice place. Best of the 4 locations I believe that they have. Check them out! Grade : A"

"Do not expect to place an order online FROM THEIR WEBSITE, pay for the order in full, drive to the restaurant, and receive any food. You CAN expect to wait in line while their phone rings incessantly for 15 minutes until you get to the front of the line and are then told that they don’t have your order, it’s not their fault, and they have no way of refunding you — all while maskless. You can also expect to be blatantly ignored after being told they can’t do anything. No stars for no food and absolutely despicable service. Another guy in line got the same exact treatment so it’s not a one-off oopsie user error. Hmm. Chinatown Kitchen, a takeout only mom and pop, is just down the street with excellent food and polite service. And yes, I confirmed with my cc company that the restaurant did charge me for the order."

"This is a take-out place, so the atmosphere is unimportant. We order from Montira Thai frequently and the food is always tasty. However, over the past few months, the prices have skyrocketed while the quality has degraded. When a dish says broccoli, one should expect flowerettes not merely sliced up stalks. Raising prices AND reducing quality is a double hit and unfair. I’m hoping someone at the restaurant reads this and reacts accordingly. The food is good. Don’t ruin a good thing."

"This is definitely one of the best places for a meal in the local area. When you walk in, you are greeted by the host and if waiting for others, there is seating available. Once inside, the warm wood tones help you relax and sit back while your server ensures that you have everything you like to drink and provides a fantastic onion roll to hold back that starving feeling you may have. I ordered a petite filet mignon with a side of macaroni and cheese. When I order a medium rare steak, I expect it to come out medium most of the time. But this medium rare was medium rare! Topped with a Parmesan crust, it is one of the best steaks I have had in quite some time. The Mac and cheese was also cooked perfectly and provided the perfect balance to my steak. Others at my table got the lump crab cake sandwich which had rave reviews, and the club sandwich which was also reported to be good. For dessert, I have the triple chocolate cake. The cake was also... perfect. The icing was just thick enough and the cake tasted like it was made that morning. Yes, this can be a pricey meal, but it is perfect for special occasions."

"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese, but it's just a fancy name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly, there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we dealt with them before we did. We have expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more chicken. The shrimp dish was the same - all sauce and hardly any shrimp. The sauces over the rice were pleasant, but overpriced for how little you got. We enjoyed the starter of Mo MO and the Chana Masala. I love Mango Lassi, but they just poured it out of a 1 gallon container. It was probably pre-made in the supermarket. Don't go here when we have such a large and diverse Indian community with excellent restaurants across the region."

"My siblings and I recently hosted a birthday party at Hackney's for our parents' milestone birthdays (80 85), and it was great! The setting was ideal, the food was good, the prices were very reasonable, and the staff was excellent! Especially with all the uncertainties that go with being in the midst of this pandemic, the Hackney's team was very easy to work with and accommodating in the planning of the event (recognizing that our guest count may have had to change significantly or that we may even have needed to cancel the event at the last minute). We had 30 people attend, and everyone loved it. The service was great, the timing of the drink orders and food delivery was spot on, and the staff even accommodated a very last-minute request on my part to use a large TV to show a slideshow of photos that I had created. Thank you, Hackney's, for helping us make this a special and memorable birthday celebration for our parents!"

"We found the food to be merely average, and our server appeared to be in a constant rush but still inattentive, especially since it wasn't that busy. We ordered a second round of drinks when our food arrived, but they didn't come until we were nearly finished eating. We probably won't be returning, as there are plenty of better options nearby."

"With a quick layover, our server was right on everything, getting us in out quickly, anticipating what we needed. It's a bit tight near the bar and dark like a sports bar should be I guess. Food was really good, reasonable prices. Will try the real restaurant when I actually get to stay in Chicago next time. Server was Aretha thanks for a great job!"

"There were 5 of us that ordered, and all 5 orders took much longer than normal, and, get this, all 5 orders were completely wrong and presented HORRIBLE. Furthermore, none of the staff looked over the age of 18, there was NO supervisor, and theyappeared NOT to have been properly trained. This is why their local competitors have lines of people and Oberweis does not.Funny thing is, the kids working there cannot make ice cream, but will probably develop an APP some day and sell it for abillion dollars."

"My mother and I decided to stop by Naf Naf Grill for lunch today, and we were extremely pleased! I ordered the falafel wrap, while my mother got the falafel bowl. We loaded up on the sauces and it was delicious. The pitas were incredibly soft and flavorful, and watching them make the falafels right there was very cool! We also tried the fries, which I have to say were the best fries I've ever had. We will definitely be coming back again!"

"Medium rare Bison Burger was cooked moderately hard. They prepared a replacement, but it was between rare and raw. Waitress said the manager would come to our table, but he never did. She then said no charges, choose something else. I have a chicken sandwich just because they said it was on the house. They accused themselves of what they had said. We are regularly at the restaurant. We were disappointed."

"We ordered online for pick up. When we arrived to pick it up, the pork buns we ordered were not there but we were still charged for it. The person there said they could not issue a refund because I ordered it online. This is the first the first time I’ve heard of it that an establishment cannot make refunds for something we did not receive. First, they did not call us informing that there were no more pork buns. Second, if I did not ask, they did not tell me I was charged for it. Anyway, they called the manager and I was told I will receive an ema for the refund. I called the following day and was told, I’ll be refunded. Still manager is not around because the person I taked to said he just comes and goes to the restaurant. Third call I talked to the manager and I was offered that they will just give me free pork buns next time I come back to Bonchon. He said that the owner would not be happy to know that they made a mistake in the order and therefore they are avoiding doing refunds. Still I requested for a refund and he said he will give the refund next week. Next week??? Unfortunately, still no email or refund was made or given as promised. We love Bonchon, but I dont think we will be going to this branch. Poor service. They did not even include utensils in the bag even if we requested it in our online order. It is just a small amout but it is a matter of principle and integrity and good customer service."

"Service ZERO starsKitchen/Food 5 starsAverage rounding down 2 starsWalked in with several friends after leaving the NU/WI football game a bit early yesterday. First impressions are everything, and it was this; maybe the worst waitress ever. Complained loudly about how busy the business was. THEN the tables filled in as the game had ended and she walked around swearing (loudly) about customers actually being customers; they wanted things. She left our table TWICE because she deemed our ordering process too slow. How fast can you say draft Dab, diet and rum . That 's what we thought too. Well I can assure you we 'll not return to burden this place with our wants, needs and money. KUDOS to the kitchen. The burgers were great and my Reuben was really good too. It 's amazing to me that businesses that can really cash in from large groups and game days (like bars, restaurants) can 't scale floor service to the known customer surge. In any event, da waitress presumably cashed in big on tips from us silly, needy customers. Meiers has been around for eons and the customer experience should meet a much higher standard. ONE AND DONE. Too many other options in the neighborhood."

"I stopped ordering from here a couple of years ago because they never got my order right, and once told me after they delivered someone else’s order to me, that if I wanted it fixed to come to the restaurant and get it fixed. I thought I would give them a try again. For sure after 2 years they got their act together. Sadly no. They are nothing if not consistent. Adrienne"

"Ordered for dine in 30 minutes before they were closing and both ladies taking orders were aghast that it wasn't take out, asking if I knew when they were closing. I said I did, and when we sat to eat, 18 min before 9pm, they made big effort to mop around us w plenty of strong smelling chemicals. Used to like their burgers here, but their Wagyu burger wasn't special and definitely the quality has fallen. They should say they close at 830pm if they're so adamant to get out of there on time. Poor dining experience."

"First of all, despite the restaurant being busy and lively, the noise level was manageable. It was easy to hold a normal conversation without having to shout or worry about others overhearing us. The food was not only visually appealing but tasted even better. I ordered the classic jjajjangmyun and tangsuyuk combo. My only disappointment was that I prefer tangsuyuk with the sauce on the side, but it came with the sauce already poured on top. Next time, I’ll make sure to specify my preference."

"I really enjoy visiting The Curragh Glenview. The waitstaff is fantastic, and the bartenders are quick and efficient. We always have a great time whenever we go. We’ve become addicted to playing darts after dinner and listening to live music. The people are so friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, complemented by excellent food."
