"The paper menu contained some errors, which he explained, and when we asked where to place our order, the interaction felt quite awkward. He took our order but sneezed twice and had a finger that we found off-putting—definitely not the best first impression. We also requested him to clean a table, as they were all dirty, but he reacted as if it was a bother. Consequently, we decided to switch to takeout.
We ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken sandwich. The cheeseburger was good, with a generous amount of cheese and meat cooked to order and packed with flavor. The chicken sandwich was on the larger side, featuring chicken that was pounded thin and breaded with a cornmeal mix. The only downside was that it was quite greasy and seemed to have been fried in old oil.
We also got two small orders of tater tots—one with Old Bay and cheese and the other plain. While the food was good, it wasn’t exceptional. The ambiance, however, was lacking, particularly in terms of customer service, cleanliness, and general awkwardness. All the issues I mentioned could be easily addressed. I couldn't overlook the food quality, which is why I'm giving it three stars. With more attention to detail, this place has the potential to be much better. Our total for takeout was $37. I would suggest walking here, but not rushing."
