"The search is over! I've been looking for a place that knows its way around rice and beans. That brought me back to my Abuelas kitchen. The beans are perfectly tasteful that a bit of nostalgia ran wild in my brain. As for the Cuban sandwich, that was right on the money. Bread just pressed right, with all the correct fixes expected from anyone who knows one thing or two about Cubanos. The owner recommended my wife to get the Aurora, and what an amazing choice that was. Sliced turkey grilled, bacon, Mayo and guac pure heaven. I urge everyone and everyone to go to Jose. What made it up and beyond was the owner. Such a sweet, hearty individual, extremely polite and dedicated to his craft. I'm back!"

"we visited family in the region lansing, and we went here because it is one of the few restaurants in the opposite with vegan options. they have a separate vegan section on their menu with about six vegan options. we went to brunch on Sunday morning and had to wait about an hour for a table. after the order we waited for about half an hour for our food. we both have the freche of nature breakfast burrito. the kartoffels that came on the side were excellent, but the burrito itself was nothing to write home. it was lukewarm, and the Daiya cheese shredded inside were completely raw. it was only generally moderate and not the hour and half waiting. it is quite possible that this has to offer the best vegan eating lansing, but they will probably be unimpressed when they are used to eating in vegan restaurants in larger cities."

"This place is the best! We ordered a group lunch for work, well over $200 worth of food, and even though they opened at 11:30, they still had it ready to go just after noon, with no issues! Everything was delicious, and the portions were large enough that we had plenty of leftovers. Out of all the food we ordered, there was 1 single Crab Rangoon (out of 10) that didn't have filling in it, and even that still tasted great. Can't recommend highly enough!"

"I've only been to Corey's about three times... The friendliness of the waitstaff and the manager is very warm and inviting. The Saturday Prime Rib dinner does not disappoint great taste and slightly larger cut sizes (when the Entreé is delivered from the kitchen) make this Prime Rib meal well worth the visit. Also, since my husband only wanted breadsticks as a light meal, his appetizer was more than he could eat, paired with a nice marinara sauce on the side. Ok, so the place is very cozy and it may seem loud during football games due to such a small space, but really, do make it out for the reasonably priced Prime Rib dinner on Saturdays. Addendum Sometimes, like this Sunday, Corey's will offer a Grilled Open Face Prime Rib Dinner with fries (or, in this case, grilled mixed seasonal veggies) for $14.95. Plus the Chocolate Molten Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream put a nice end to another meal here."

Be sure to test the heat level before they make it spicier than you'd like. I’ve learned that when they ask if you want extra spices, they really mean it! The spring rolls are fantastic—coming from someone who usually dislikes egg rolls, I found these to be delicious, especially when paired with the sweet dipping sauce. "Got done with our adventure at the Pod next door. Decided to eat here, but I felt like it was a little off since it was like 6pm and the restaurant was empty. Food was mediocre, a salad consists of ice berg lettuce with a thin slice of tomato... "The food was satisfactory, but my daughter found a hair in one of the sushi rolls. Unfortunately, our waitress never came back to our table for me to inform her about it. It also took a long time for us to get our drinks, and I didn’t receive a refill of water. We had to ask for small plates, and even then, there weren't enough for everyone. The prices felt steep considering the quality of the food. There was an odd tension in the restaurant, as the sushi chef mentioned something about having to kick someone out. Overall, I would rate the service as a 3 out of 5, and the atmosphere felt awkward, warranting a 2. Our dinner cost between $20 to $30 per person."

"We were on the hunt for a great fish fry, which can be hard to find around here. After some research, I discovered Harry’s Place in Lansing. We started with some drinks at Harry’s Place—just screwdrivers and vodka cranberries—which were amazing. Then, we stayed for their Friday fish fry. Wow! It was the best fish fry I’ve ever had. The fish was flaky, the batter was thin and crispy, and the tartar sauce was spot on. I had a chat with the owner and learned that Harry’s Place was established in 1921 and has been in the same family ever since. Despite its long history, the place feels new and clean, not old and dirty. You can really see the pride in ownership, and I respect that! We love it, and we will keep coming back. We also can't wait to try everything on the menu."

There are plenty of vegan options. I love that this restaurant offers vegan versions of the foods it's known for such as wood fired pizza and sandwiches. Lots of non-vegan restaurants do not make sure its vegan options match the quality of the rest of its menu, but this restaurant does."
