"I won't often review fast food places... because then I am admitting to the world that I went to a fast food joint. When you're cruising through Madras trying to reach the Ochocos before dark to find a spot and all that... well.. ya know.. you stop by an A&W sometimes! Anyway... We were a real pain in the butt...we had no idea what we were doing or how to feed the kids or ourselves. The woman who took our order was exceedingly kind and patient. I wish I would have told her manager how great she was... I don't know if that sort of thing matters... but she was that great."

"I was recommended this restaurant by a friend, and the food definitely lived up to the hype. However, the service could use some improvement. The waiter struggled to manage the five different groups at the same time, often focusing on one table until they were completely satisfied. This became problematic when one of the groups was a large table of 12. Meanwhile, the older couple at the adjacent table voiced their frustration, feeling ignored and disrespected because they didn’t speak Spanish like the big group. They even mentioned considering leaving without paying their bill due to the lack of attention. It’s important to ensure that all patrons receive proper attention, especially during busy times or when the staff is short-handed."

"It's a convenient stop within Madras and good for what it is. If you're into Sonic, it's a standard location with all the offerings. A bit short staffed but they seem to be doing their best. The burgers can be rather greasy, and I've never been a huge fan of the chicken since it seems dry, but they have tasty sweets. My partner got me into the ocean water which I would highly recommend now."

"We ordered the 8-piece bucket meal that included 8 tenders. Unfortunately, half of the tenders were the compacted chicken nugget variety, while the other half were the flaky, long pieces of real chicken that we expected. We ended up giving the compacted ones to our cat. The real chicken tenders were also quite oily and soggy, almost as if they had been cooked in old oil. Additionally, the chicken breasts were the smallest I've ever received from KFC. Since today is a holiday and we've ordered from this location several times before, this was the first time we didn't have a great experience. It's possible they were running low on supplies or short-staffed, which might explain why the oil hadn't been changed. However, I'm not going to hold this one disappointing experience against them."

"Hey!!! We visited from Seattle and the managers were very friendly and attentive. The food was cooked to order and the restaurant was clean. It's way better than McDonald's - I give them 10 stars. Mr. Dale and Mr. Jamie are great leaders and the burgers are better than any I've had in a while. This is the place to be for burgers and the coffee is good too. There are never long lines. "My main issue with this restaurant is the lack of customer service. I placed a mobile order for pick-up, and there’s a designated pick-up counter at the front of the store where a woman calls out order numbers and places them on a small counter next to a blank wall. When my order was called, there was nothing on the counter. I waited for about 8 to 10 minutes, hoping an employee would come by so I could ask where my order was. Eventually, I was informed that mobile orders are actually picked up around the corner—information that wasn't communicated anywhere at the front of the store. That large blank wall next to the pick-up counter has plenty of space for a sign indicating where mobile orders are to be collected, along with an arrow for guidance. It seems like they just don’t care and expect customers to navigate the building and figure everything out on their own."

"The food at this restaurant was very tasty. I ordered the 'vegetarian enchiladas' with a (vegan) green sauce instead of the creamy spinach sauce. The enchiladas had the requested green sauce, but also had a drizzle of a creamier, greenish-white sauce on top. I believe there was a small amount of cheese in the enchiladas, even though it was not listed in the description. It is possible for the dish to be made vegan, but vegans should be clear when ordering to omit the creamy spinach sauce and cheese, or opt for the burrito instead. We sat outside on the patio, which was spacious and shaded, but the noise from the fast-moving traffic on Route 97, including large trucks, was a distraction."

"I visited this restaurant after checking out the reviews, and I must say, it’s some of the best food I’ve had in ages. The burgers were bursting with flavor, the tater tots were perfectly crispy, and the hand-cut fries were fantastic. Plus, the beer was ice cold. There was a bit of a wait because they were short-staffed, but our waitress was incredible and really put in the effort! The cook also had great timing—everything was cooked to perfection and served hot. I live out of town, but I have family in the area and I will definitely return and recommend this place!"

"So we stopped here on our way home because of the rave reviews. Not much was good here. Only 2 people running the front. Seated quickly but that was it. Took awhile to get our beer order in and even longer to get our food order in. I opted for the kalua pig because I'm a huge kalua pig fan. We go to Hawaii once a year and we fill up on kalua pig and poke. This however is a roast pork. Desperately screaming for salt especially for a true kalua pig. Zero smoke and banana leaves flavor as well. The dipping sauce or whatever its supposed to be is a lot like teriyaki. Not something that goes with kalua pig. Mac salad was meh. I'm guessing its not made in house. There version is not even close to real Hawaiian kalua pig. Now if you want roast pork then here ya go. Plate was complete saturated in standing water as shown in one of my pictures.My wife wanted the fish and chips so she asked if they are battered on house. We were told no they are frozen. Seriously.....$20 for frozen fish and chips?!?! Couldn't believe it. So she opted for the Cubano sandwich. Carl the cuban Ruiz would roll over in his grave. The same flavorless roast pork as the kalua pig. The bun completely wrong and not pressed so it was soft. Best part of it was the banana peppers which have not been on any Cubano we've ever had. At least the frozen French fries were not bad. We would not recommend this place. Plates look great until that first bite if you can tolerate the mediocre service."

"I love their Mexican Pizza and you will NEVER find a better salsa than at Charlie’s! You can buy it separately and whenever I come thru town I always buy a LOT! (Sometimes I even bring my own GALLON jug! And, it freezes pretty well too! (Just NEVER double dip, always poor the amount you are going to eat in a separate container). My entire family can barely eat any other salsa now, and enjoy it! From Oregon, Montana, Florida, Italy, Washington, and Arizona!!! We even tried to freeze some and fly it to Germany for my brother! We all miss “Honchos” salsa and their Mexican Pizza because most of us do not live here anymore! My mom is so happy to have moved back home to Madras, we are too, so we can visit mom and go to Charlie’s!!!"

"Now, the worst Subway experience I 've ever had. I go regularly to buy my elderly mom a veggie sandwich and 2 cookies. On multiple occasions, they 've forgotten the cookies. The most recent time, I filled out the customer survey and mentioned they forgot the cookies. Couple weeks later, the local manager sent me two coupons for a cookie each.The problem started when I redeemed them. The nice kid didn 't know what to do, so he asked the lady he was working with about it. She interrogated me about the coupons, and when I replied that the local store sent them to me, she asked me again, I repeated myself and then stated they sent them because they forgot my cookies on a previous order . As I walked out the door, the little shrew made some comment about crying about cookies or some such. I wasn 't even rude about it, but bet I will be now.Original review: For Subway, this store has a few quality issues, but it 's still what you normally expect from Subway."

"It only gets two stars because I understand that someone walked out on them and I felt bad for them. That doesn't excuse the rude behavior both my friend and I received. Firstly, the woman forgot that I was standing at the counter you pay and was tryingto help the people behind me before she got snotty and if she could help me with something. I informed her I was waiting to pay.She got snotty again with me and finally checked me out. I took my pizza and went out to my car try wait for my friend. It tookher twenty more minutes even though we ordered the exact same thing just minutes apart. After watching the three people whoordered after us ask get their pizzas my friend finally got hers after being treated rudely. It wasn't until I got home that Irealized the sausage I had ordered in my pizza was not there. I was too frustrated with them at that point to go back. I will becalling to talk to a manager though. That employees behavior was rude and unacceptable for a customer service related job."
