"It had been a while since we last visited Briarhurst, and it will be a long time before we go back. We decided to go early in the evening after seeing a Facebook post about early bird specials starting on March 7. However, when we inquired about the special, the waitress informed us that it was not available on weekends, even though it was a Friday. The food was mediocre at best, with my wife's couscous lacking the proper texture and my steak being the only dish that was cooked well and flavorful. As a gesture for celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary, $25 was deducted from our bill. Upon returning home, my wife received an email (from their standard mailing list) asking for feedback on ways to improve the Briarhurst. She highlighted issues such as poor signage, inadequate lighting in the parking lot, and our overall disappointing dining experience. Unfortunately, over the years, Briarhurst has declined in quality. Despite having brought many groups there and being guests ourselves, we can no longer recommend Briarhurst Manor to others."
