"This charming family-owned corner restaurant is a hidden gem. The staff treats regulars like friends and welcomes newcomers with warm hospitality. The service is quick, and the food is excellent. I got to sample their homemade soup, which was incredible. The chili sauce was perfectly balanced—flavorful without being spicy. I'm so glad I discovered this delightful spot!"

"Even though the service was excellent was not impressed with the food. Ordered the soup and crab cakes for lunch. Even though the soup was just ok the crab cakes were soft and soggy and did not have a crisp breading. Pricing of the crab cakes was too steep for only getting two. Think the best part of the meal was the bread."

"You might miss it, being tucked away between Arby's and Culver's; but in my opinion, this place is a hidden gem! I went there on a fluke because the line at Arby's was WAY too long and i didn't wanna wait 30 minutes in the drive-thru.The service is nice, the interior is VERY clean. The food is way better than I had expected. I am a little bothered that a combo meal gets you what I think is a small 12oz cup; but you get your money worth both in main dish and fries. The menu is fairly diverse too. Burgers, gyros, tenderloin, hotdogs... many others.I highly recommend you find your way to this tucked away restaurant"

"It is important to note that this restaurant does not seat guests until the entire party has arrived. Arriving early to secure a table for a partial party is not allowed, so be prepared to wait if you show up before everyone is present. This policy is completely reasonable and makes sense."

"Came here at the suggestion of Tmobile Tuesdays and I wasn't disappointed at all! I opted to dine in since I work at home and wanted to get out a bit while the sun was out. I noticed the app had a tableside option to order so I skipped the lunch rush line, found a table, and ordered my lunch! Reuben? Wanted more Thousand Island but the corned beef was delightful. Chicken Chipotle spud? WHAAAAT? I almost don't want to try other items and just keep getting this. Iced tea. Unsweetened. Large. So satisfying. The food was brought out swiftly and devoured even faster. And then I don't have to bus my own table? Minor detail but I'm here for it! See you again soon, McAl fam!"

"Service was not Great, and it was almost bad where i gave this restaurant a bad review. But once the waitress finally took our order and brought us food, almost every bad word I said I had forgotten about. If this Restaurant has one thing going for them that is the quality of their food. But the service could be improved. If the service gets any better, or who knows if i ever go on a day service happens to have a better team this would change to a 5 star review. But for now solid 4 stars"

"The food is consistently good and reasonably priced at this restaurant. I had a great experience with their customer service twice. The first time I placed an order for delivery and some items were missing. I called the restaurant and spoke to a very friendly and apologetic gentleman. He not only resolved the issue but also sent me a gift card. I used the gift card to order again a few weeks later. When I called to ask a question, I spoke with the same gentleman who remembered me and fulfilled my request promptly. This restaurant and its staff displayed exceptional customer service. I will definitely order from them again because of the excellent service I received. It's the little details that make a difference, and the person I spoke with twice is the reason I will continue to be a loyal customer for years to come. They deserve recognition for their professionalism."

"I always try to stop by this place when I'm in town visiting family. It's hard to go wrong with donuts dipped in caramel and powdered with cinnamon sugar. Wide variety of other flavors, but it's the classic that keeps me coming back. And I heard thatthey started doing the donut holes again, which are the PERFECT balance of caramel and cinnamon per bite."

"During my first visit to the South Bend/Mishawaka area, I decided to check out Evil Czech based on their reputation for craft beer. The website had a vibe that appealed to me, and I was not disappointed. The beers were outstanding, well-crafted, and delicious. I had the opportunity to chat with the brewing team, who were friendly and passionate about their work. The food was also excellent, particularly the Fo' Schnitzel sandwich which was both massive and delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cool, with a modern decor that wasn't too overwhelming. I think it would be fun to see live music on the stage. The staff were all helpful, easy to talk to, and welcoming. Overall, I have nothing but praise for Evil Czech and I definitely plan on returning for another meal and a beer the next time I visit Indiana from southwestern Ontario. "The food here is actually quite good. It *was* one of my favorite restaurants in the area. That's why I brought my family when they were in town for a day. We went as a party of 11, which is actually a pretty normal table size where we're from in South Texas (Latin families tend to be large). However, I do understand it's a lot of people when a restaurant is not prepared. My family and I arrived around 3:30 and the restaurant was pretty much empty. The host (who I assume was the manager) greeted us by asking if there were 42 of us. I said no, 11. He then proceeded to speak to us as if we were a group of children. In a scolding manner he said that *he* would serve us this time but he would recommend a reservation in the future. That's fine, it was an impromptu visit so I couldn't have made one this time, but I thought it would be fine in the future. The problem for me was that, while the server was more than kind and gracious, the host was absolutely rude to us the entire visit. And, for no reason. He made efforts to come to our table look at us with disdain, roll his eyes, sigh. I wanted to leave at that point. Since it was Notre Dame game day, most restaurants in Mishawaka were pretty empty, it would have been easy to find a place. But they were fine with staying. At one point the host brought my drink and, it seemed like to avoid making eye contact with anyone was looking away, the drink splashed all over the table--onto my 17 year old niece's hands and hair and my menu. The host did not even acknowledge it. I grabbed the drink from his hand and began to clean the mess and he watched me as he walked away. I have to emphasize that the restaurant was nearly empty. There was one table of two seated before us and a party about our size came in while we were eating. That was it. I would think the business would be welcome. It's hard to describe how humiliating it felt to be treated that way and to see my family treated that way. Again, for no reason. The majority of our interactions with the host were because he made a point to walk by our table, roll his eyes, sigh, stare angrily--just whatever he could do to make us uncomfortable. I really wish we would have left and I certainly won't be back. In fact, I'd suggested to my office manager to call that next week and request the restaurant cater a small department lunch where I work, and have since gone with a service on campus instead. Anyway, food is pretty decent but I'm really disappointed with the way my family and I were treated. I understand the man was upset--he made that very clear. He 100% could have (and should have) told us they couldn't serve us. However, he chose not to and instead decided to just make sure we felt uncomfortable the entire meal. As someone who's served in the past (at a much busier restaurant, I've handled more tables than the restaurant had that day on my own), I'm shocked at the lack of customer service here. And, as a human, I'm pretty disappointed at the way they treat other humans at this place."

"What a fantastic discovery! The service, food, and management were all truly impressive. Our server, Paulette, was excellent—not at all pushy and very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. The corn appetizer and tuna were simply outstanding. I followed that with a 16oz ribeye, which was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. We dine at several high-end restaurants multiple times a week and always appreciate great food and wine at reasonable prices. This place has definitely made us devoted fans for a long time. To top it all off, Patrick introduced us to the beer can dessert, which I found to be a game changer—unique, delicious, and inspirational! We ended up ordering 12 to take home so I can share them with friends, as we live an hour away. Thank you for a wonderful experience! #killedit"

"I and my friend found this place someday last week and did not learn to judge a book through his cover very quickly! it was a small and older building, but as soon as we set ourselves, the magic that has enchanted all the others has meaning. eating was incredible and high quality, amazing portions spent for the money, and the server was knowledgeable and friendly. negatiw: due to the heat we couldn't enjoy their beautiful seating outdoors, and the inner is a bit dark, dated, and cramped, but charming, with the traditional decor. Kurb-Attakel was a little missing, but a small facelift would make this juwel look even brighter. =========================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================="

"What a great little find, amongst all the big whales of chain restaurants in Mishawaka lies the delicious Venezuelan joint Caracas Bistro. Beautiful cozy clean atmosphere and excellent food. We had the tequenos appetizer, a Latin mozzarella stick if you will. For lunch my wife and I enjoyed the steak pepitos sandwich. The bread was as fresh as you can get and accompanied with a great assortment of toppings. The presentation of food and vessels they serve it in is very upscale. Do yourself a favor and shop local, give this place a try."

"I was told that I had to spend at least $100, which is a bit unreasonable for some customers who may not have smaller bills. The owner should reconsider this policy, as it's quite absurd for a small business. This kind of approach can result in losing both money and customers. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, and that’s disappointing since it was my favorite place for hot subs."

"I thought I would give Longhorn another try...what a disappointment. I have had the outlaw ribeye before and have always been pleased with it. I ordered curbside pickup. Wife had the strip steak, and she said it was tasteless...and she doesn 't have Covid. I tried it and she was right....barely any seasoning and was relatively tasteless. The outlaw Ribeye had a very tiny bone on the side of it, did not even resemble the picture. I have included a picture of the amount of inedible fat and gristle...what happened? Are you buying select steaks now and trying to pass these low quality steaks off to the customer? The outlaw has ALWAYS had a long bone on the side of it but this was fat and gristle only. I am a steak guy, I know steak...how it is supposed to look and taste like. I guess since it was curbside pickup the cook figured oh well, he 'll not bring it back.... maybe I should have, but I will never bring one back cause I imagine what they might do to it. The broccoli was undercooked and crunchy. Baked potatoes were ok. Overall this was really bad. If you continue to produce this kind of quality, you will lose business. There are many more steakhouses that I can go spend 60+ dollars and get better food. Management should retrain their cooks if they can 't get the job right the first time. So long Longhorn, from now on I 'll go somewhere else."

The food is exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5. The service is equally impressive, also receiving a top rating. I highly recommend trying the Bibimbap and Chap Chae—both are standout dishes!"

"Amazing burger! It’s a little on the expensive side, but it truly is one of the best burgers I've ever had. The service was friendly and attentive. They got our order right, although one burger was accidentally served with cheese, which we didn’t want. It was a small mistake and didn’t ruin our experience at all. Plus, they were playing fantastic music while we waited."

"This restaurant offers amazing Asian cuisine, featuring dishes from both Chinese and Thai origins. The food is prepared with an array of fresh vegetables, a feature not commonly found in traditional Chinese restaurants. The owners clearly have a passion for what they do and prioritize customer care, accommodating guests with allergies such as MSG or gluten by offering suitable menu options. Prices are slightly higher than average, but the quality of the food justifies the cost. I recommend this restaurant for takeout, as the dining area is small with limited seating and basic decor. Overall, it is the best Asian dining spot I have found in the area. The only downside is the size of the restaurant and occasional visibility of the chefs in the dining area. I would prefer if the chefs stayed in the kitchen and servers brought out the food. Despite this minor issue, the quality of the food is top-notch for Asian cuisine."
