"I'm all about customer service. This place exists every time I walk. I love the Margarita specialties they have on Monday and Wednesday only 2.50!!! And they are well served with an orange btw!!! My food always comes fast, it's good and the servers are nice. It's the same price every time I get in. What is important to me because the Mexican restaurant on the street is terrible in customer service... I love to come to this place after a long working day to drink a good food and enjoy price and I can say they also appreciate my business!!! (Too bad, the Mexican restaurant in my plaza will not get my business back) GO Cocina!!!!"

"that was our third time in restaurant cotton for the abitur of my daughter of ulm. definitiw not the best experience. the first two visits were absolutely incredible; from the cocktails (the blueberry funnel,) the waiting staff and the eating was excellent! tonight we were a party of 11. the waiter was very polite, but could not get our order right. eating was wrong, like the drink order. we ordered a small chicken dinner, and he brought a hamburger (because they were from the chicken) would have told us before the burger was running, as the child was under 2 and the burger was not a good option, so was not eaten. the soaking order was completely wrong, brought out three false drinks that we politely accepted and made the best of it. a venison schnitzel had a small piece venison, while the other three orders two beautiful pieces. there was only one option for the desert from all. I was so disappointed because our previous two were perfect. will certainly return, hopefully this was only one night out! ps. chef bahr was not where to be found in this night."

"The staff was unfriendly and seemed frustrated. We traveled from Chicago and stopped here on the way. We had high expectations for this place based on reviews. The only thing that saved it from getting 3 stars was the food, which had a good taste. The outdoor seating was uninviting and gave the impression that they didn't want people to dine outside. Perhaps it was just a bad day or an off day for the server. However, when it came time to pay the bill and leave a tip, the staff suddenly became friendly. I was not impressed with this behavior."

"In all sincerity, what initially piqued my interest about this restaurant is their beautiful interior mural of Mother Teresa against the backdrop of American flags, which can be viewed from the road.I respect their sound stewardship of the space they have been granted by Jesus to communicate faith and patriotism so prominently! May everyone be so strongly convicted in their walk with the Lord!With that being said, acting on my initial interest was rewarded profoundly by the delicious meal they prepared for me along with the kindest-service-ever from the young gentleman who helped me at the drive-through! He was very intentional in the hospitality and generosity he displayed! "This place is fantastic and is now open until 9 PM from Monday to Saturday, and until 4 PM on Sundays. Keep in mind that this updated schedule isn’t reflected on Yelp yet. I just had dinner here for the first time, although we’ve been coming for breakfast, brunch, and lunch since moving to Monroe a few years ago, and it has always been excellent. Every breakfast item and Mexican dish I've tried has been delicious. I particularly love the Carnitas Torta and Chilaquiles. The service is always friendly and as quick as the business allows. I mention this because it can get busy, and the kitchen can only work so fast, but no matter how packed it gets, the food remains consistently great. If you're in Monroe and looking for high-quality, honest food, HWY2 Diner is a must-visit. It’s far better than any chain restaurant you’ll find!"

The menu has very nice selections but my salmon was very over cooked. This was my second visit and my impression of the food remains the same. Might be a better choice for lunch"

"The restaurant has a strip mall vibe, but the food is plentiful and delicious. The service was excellent during a quiet lunchtime. While the vegetables seemed steamed, they were a bit overcooked for my taste. However, the chicken kabob meal was substantial and very flavorful. The lemon soup was tasty, though I thought it was a bit heavy on the turmeric compared to other authentic lemon soups I've tried. The Greek fries were a standout! If I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely return to explore more items on the menu."

"Everything is usually pretty good but they always leave out at least one or two things from each meal. They forgot the toast on both dinners cost $25 and my $3.50 add-on of extra cream sauce cup that I was gonna share between my son apos;s meal and mine. My youngest son apos;s meal, which was mostly excited about the fries, came with 3 small half-piece fries. Thats pathetic. My son was so upset because no one else got fries. I apos;ll get the same meals again, but ill call up there to order and pick up myself so I can check the bags for everything before leaving. Still love my walk-ons!! Walk-on apos;s food was good but their service to the DoorDash customer was not. This happens every time I order door dash never when I call and pick it up."

"This was our first visit and it was during Restuarant Week. The place was very busy but we were seated promptly (had a reservation). The parking lot is small but they do have valet parking so it wasn 't an issue. A server immediately brought water but a waiter was nowhere to be found. All other tables were being served but we werel left unattended for over 15 minutes. We finally had to ask a busperson to find a waiter/waiteress so that we would order a drink and get menus. Our waiter eventually came to our table. He was arrogant and pushy. I order a glass of Italian Red and he immediately tried hard to upsell me on the special wine of the night. Went to a lengthy description. When I asked the price of the glass, I was told it was $20. He knew I just ordered a $9 glass so why push so hard to try to sell me a glass that was over double the price. He wasn 't expecting me to ask the price. Once our meal arrived (delivered not by him), our waiter never came by to ask if needed anything else or if we were enjoying our meal. After we finished our meal, he finally came by to ask if we wanted another glass of wine! I asked for dessert to go and had to follow up on that since we were sitting at our table for another 15 minutes waiting after we paid to grab our dessert and go. The food was amazing and all other staff were great from the hostess to valet. This one waiter put a damper on the evening. Too bad we go stuck with the one who didn 't want to be there . We 'll return and hope we have a different serve."

"I was driving through Louisiana and stopped in Monroe, where I found out that this restaurant was renowned for their po-boys. I tried the fried shrimp po-boy with fried okra, and it was amazing. My brother had the same but with fries, and we both enjoyed our meals. The food came with its own unique flavor that was delicious. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5-star rating is because the atmosphere was a bit untidy and not very welcoming. However, the service was excellent. I originally ordered my meal with fries, but then wanted to change it to okra. The staff member behind the counter was accommodating and made the change without any issues, even though the okra was slightly more expensive. The other menu items, like the burgers, also looked tempting. Whenever they are in town, I would definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant."

"Another restaurant that seems to be suffering from the lack of quality workers these days. I found this place last year and loved it. Brought my brother here and he loved it. The last couple times I 've been here, including last night, the food isn 't what it used to be. Almost $50 for two brisket platters that mostly went uneaten. The brisket was so dry I had to drown it in BBQ sauce too keep from choking on it. The Mac and Cheese looks and tastes like a single serve Kraft Mac and Cheese that got microwaved and put in a Styrofoam cup for my enjoyment . If you call yourselves a smokehouse, then certain sides like Mac and cheese and baked beans should be on point. Popeyes and Chick-fil-A and KFC shouldn 't be able to show you up. I wish I didn 't have to leave this review as this was a place I 've enjoyed several times and have talked up and brought people to, but certain things need called out when they need addressed. I 'm pretty sure the staff of three young men watching their phones, all of whom looked high as kite, have better things to do than serve up delicious tender brisket, but the price your customers pay should reflect what you 're actually serving, not what you 're capable of serving."

"The food here was absolutely terrible! We all ordered the "chef's favorites" and, honestly, I could have made something better in the microwave. It's probably the worst meal I've had in ages. The wicked shrimp was overcooked, and the sauce had a gritty texture, making it practically inedible after just one bite. My son's Cajun pasta had almost no flavor and seemed anything but fresh; he could only manage about five bites before declaring it bad. It's a pity because the service was good, but when no one at the table can even finish 2-3 bites, it's clear there's a serious issue. I can't believe this place has a 4.4-star rating. I would rate the food a 2 out of 10 at best. To make matters worse, the prices are outrageous! I spent less at the Four Seasons in Seattle during happy hour last week, and the food there was incredible. I don't understand how they can charge over $25 for such awful food. We ended up paying more than $120 for meals we couldn't even stomach. Honestly, we should have sent everything back and walked out. It was a huge mistake! We won't be coming back again!"

"This was our first visit so we arrived early for our reservation. We were seated quickly and the restaurant was empty maybe tables of people. We asked to sit in a table by the window and the hostess said those tables where for people with reservations. I explained we too had reservations. She quickly said no and sat us away from the window. Food was really excellent the portions where large. During our entire meal over half of the window tables were not used. So if you want a view I would call or include it in your requests. We would go back for sure but will make that note.The ribeye was excellent and the smoked old fashion is a must try"

"Did a pickup order tonight. Actually said I was there 10 min before arriving. Waited 25 more min. while customer after customer were ripping the poor kids apart that were working. Clearly the shift leader (very young kid) was doing the best he could but was Clearly not trained to give direction. He ditched the front to make nuggets in the back. While the others took the blunt of being yelled . I've been a restaurant manager for 17 years . I truly felt sorry for these kids and why the managers of the restaurant actually left them in this situation."

"I went through your drive thru and ordered a single plain butter burger with cheese. On the screen it said double and I tried to get the lady's attention, but the truck ahead of me was very loud, so I waited until I got up to the window. When I got up to the window the lady was going to hand me a bag of food and I said, is that a single or double and she said double and I politely said it's suppose to be single. She rolled up her eyes and in a discusted voice she said, WELL NOW YOU HAVE TOO WAIT and I said that's ok I will wait and she was so angry at me that I said to her, don't be angry at me and in a loud voice she said, I'M NOT and closed the window on me. I had asked to talk to the manager and she closed the window again and ignored me cause I did not need to be spoken to like that. I was so confused on why she was acting like that, it's just a simple mistake on the order and I was willing to pull ahead and wait. I really don't want to deal with her again."

Roberto's was his favorite restaurant, but recent health issues made it difficult for him to visit. It was the perfect place to honor his memory. A special thank you to the staff, Yukon and Eda. The food was incredible, and everyone commented on how delicious it was. My son even suggested that we should come back more often.
