"I wish I had thought to take pictures, because this place was absolutely phenomenal. Breakfast Platter, $14... three eggs, toast, bacon, hash browns, and a short stack of fairly huge pancakes. Everything was just about perfect, though I wish they could have gotten the hash browns a tiny bit crispier. For $8 they have a cinnamon bun French toast, which is this enormous fat cinnamon bun sliced into thirds and then prepared frenchtoast style. The omelettes are fairly large too. Only three real gripes. Number one, they do not have a gluten-free bread or toast option. It d/n affect me, but did affect a couple of other people in the group I was with. Number two, a side of corned beef hash was $8. Maybe that's a really huge side, but that's a pretty steep price, an entree price for a side. I ended up not getting it. I would imagine, that had I goten it, it would have been excellent like everything else was. Number three, there's syrup is just regular National brand quote unquote pancake syrup, and while they do offer real maple syrup, it is a $3 upcharge. But those were relatively minor gripes. The food is great, the service was fantastic, extremely friendly, extremely helpful, and very accommodating of special dietary needs (aside from tbe lack of GF toast) and food allergies, and willing to make reasonable substitutions were possible. A very good experience. Five people ate more or less like happy pigs for only $81."

"We ordered the Cherry Smash cocktail, which seemed to just have one muddled cherry in it and tasted more like whiskey on the rocks than a proper whiskey smash. I also ordered a cosmopolitan, which was priced the same as the craft cocktails, but I should have asked what their well vodka is. Nevertheless, it was well-balanced and nicely made. The bacon-wrapped dates were mostly filled with more than just a few dates, but they were overall tasty. I really enjoyed the French onion soup—it was definitely a highlight. For our specials, the homemade cranberry walnut dressing on the salad was sweet but had an unusual texture. I had the Maple Bacon Salmon, which unfortunately tasted primarily of watered-down sugar. The salmon itself seemed unseasoned before the glaze was added, and it could have been cooked just a bit longer for more searing and crust. The accompanying rice was quite bland as well. My husband’s special was the Veal and Shrimp served over pasta with a tomato sauce. While the pasta was cooked well, the dish lacked flavor overall. It seemed as though the sauce was added without draining the pasta first, which diluted the taste. The shrimp was unexpectedly breaded, but it was chewy and lacked seasoning. The veal was equally bland, and the side of cauliflower was dry and flavorless. Given the prices of the dishes, we expected them to be flavorful and creative, but we were very disappointed. I genuinely enjoy supporting local businesses, but I’m confused by the numerous great reviews this place has received regarding its food, especially since our experience was so different. I wonder if they cater to an older clientele that prefers less seasoning, or if it was simply an off day for the chef. We did complete the survey attached to the receipt but chose not to address our concerns with the waitress or request any compensation; we just wanted to share our overall disappointment."
