"The Goat New Albany is one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve visited while living in Tennessee. The space is modern, clean, and inviting, featuring a unique layout that includes a coffee shop area, a bar, and the main dining room. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. The seating was comfortable and spacious, with a variety of options to choose from. Our waitress was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient, offering detailed explanations of the menu and excellent recommendations. We tried the pepperoni pizza bites, salads, the American burger, the NashVegas burger, mac and cheese, and the pesto chicken sandwich. Aside from the American burger and mac and cheese, which could have used a bit more flavor, everything else was delightful. Happy hour featured $2 discounts on burgers that were already reasonably priced at $14, making it a great deal. The Goat also offers an impressive drink menu with a wide selection of wines, beers, and cocktails, and the bar is well-stocked with plenty of choices. Overall, I highly recommend The Goat for everything from family outings and business meals to dates or casual get-togethers. I look forward to returning for another great experience. "So far, I would rate it an 8.6/10. I noticed that additional sauces can be expensive and the options are limited based on how many items you order. It might be better to allow sauces as separate choices, so customers can enjoy wings without sauces if they prefer. I made a note on my order requesting to split the flavors half and half, but I ended up receiving two containers of the same sauce. I don't see why it would be too difficult to offer two different sauces instead of two of the same. Overall, keep up the good work, but consider being more flexible with flavor options. One poor experience with a single flavor could deter customers from trying others in the future."

"My husband and I both got Bento boxes, me the steak him the shrimp. The clear soup was tasty. The presentation was very nice on the Bento boxes. The California roll was great and although the teriyaki was good, my steak was just a bit too chewy for me. My husband however did enjoy his version with the shrimp. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is small and a bit cramped when filled up with people. We got there 20 minutes after they opened and they were almost full so they have to be doing something right. We were referred to them and I plan on going again as I only had a sample of their great sushi and want to try some of their specialty rolls. Overall a positive experience."

"I came here a couple days ago— on a Saturday if I’m not mistaken— to try out one of their boba tea drinks. As someone who is completely new to this restaurant, I was asking the girl who answered me at the Drive By questions about the items on their menu. She answered me in such a rude manner and made me feel like an idiot for not knowing certain things about their drinks. For clarity, I asked about the Thai Tea and the Teas in general— if they had caffeine and what kind of teas they used— and she replied saying along the lines of “It’s tea so it obviously has caffeine” and other stuff in just a completely rude manner. I’m not one to take time out of my day to write reviews— especially negative ones— and I understand people have bad days at times but I was just disappointed with the service I was given that day. I don't believe her tone was necessary. Now I’m not sure if the girl who answered me at the Drive By was the same person who greeted me when I pulled up to the front because the girl who took my card and handed me the receipt was nice. Either way, I understand it may have been an “obvious” question but every restaurant is different and I don’t believe there was any harm in me asking and the girl answering me politely. If this is how the workers treat new and future potential loyal customers here, I’m not sure if I will be returning. On the other side, the drink itself was good hence the 4 star on the food review."

"Me and my fiance love coming here at least once a week. The waffle bowls are delicious, great ice cream selections, and lots of topping choices. All of the staff is super friendly, including the owner and her daughter, who are there frequently when we visit. 10/10 We love this place!!"

"I had been to the Culver's location on the Westside the young lady who brought our food to our table had some of the BEST customer service I've ever experienced. She was personable, friendly, even brung us samples of the custard as we were first time customers. She even went above beyond gave us each a kids meal bag that offered a free scoop on your next visit. I expected the same quality service at this location, but my experience here was AWFUL! I bragged about this place to my friends and we decided to visit this location. We ordered our food, went to a table. After waiting 25 minutes, I go to the counter to inquire see our food just sitting there. A teen brought our food, set it down, then just walked off no apology, thank you nothing. We get our food and it's incorrect. Now this entails another 15 minute wait along with another walk-up to the counter, food rudely sat down again. We ate, the food was good but the experience itself had been ruined. IF I return to Culver's it will NOT be at this location!"

"Absolutely wonderful place to go, service is amazing and staff has great personalities. Now let’s dig into this food, talking about finger licking good. They serve wings, curly fries, fries okra, corn nuggets, the best gizzards ever and let’s not forget about the fried liver…!!! "The chicken was fantastic, as usual, and the KFC sauce remains incredibly delicious. The fries were a great addition to the meal, and the Pepsi was refreshing. However, the coleslaw was inedible for me; I could barely manage two forkfuls, and the second one completely put me off my appetite for the rest of the day. Yuck!"

"It's #TacoTuesday so you know what that means! I'm checking out another spot for some yummy tacos! Today's pick was The Butt Hutt Smokehouse. I grabbed the 2 tacos combo with a side. For my choice of protein I went with the Jerk Chicken and I picked Collard Greens with Brisket as my side item. Paired the meal off with an Orange Blossom Pilsner. The tacos were fantastic with great flavor and spice. I really liked the cilantro lime slaw they topped the tacos with as well. The collards were okay. Just not my preferred flavor palette. They had a bit of a sweetness to them, and I enjoy a more savory style collard. I did eat them all because they weren't bad, just not my preferred taste. This was my first visit to their brick and mortar location. I've ate at the truck a handful of times. I hope they stick around. I love that they have a bar inside with some good craft beers on hand and their outdoor patio seating is nice and large. So if you're craving some BBQ and the weather is nice, take a group of friends and enjoy the atmosphere."

"I had dinner at this restaurant, and overall, it was a great experience. The food was impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The service was also commendable, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed, so I would rate that a 4 as well. The atmosphere was pleasant, creating a nice ambiance for dining, which deserves another 4 rating. With a price range of $20–30 per person, it offered good value for the quality of the meal. "I will start with I did not take into consideration that teriyaki chicken would so drastically change from a Japanese restaurant to a Chinese restaurant (respectfully). So the food I received was correct on their part; however the cook in the back was very unhelpful in trying to make my meal appetizing. The chicken looked extra dried out (wasn’t as dry definitely lacked flavor so sauce was needed), I explained to the cashier what I was expecting after reading over the menu before ordering over the phone. She understood what I was wanting and made the proper suggestion in order to help me enjoy my meal. The chef had a mouthful to say about not wanting to make the sauce so he decided to upcharge me (completely fair, I understand). I declined to pay because I wasn’t going to risk spending more money to potentially not like the food still. I understand he wants to be compensated for his time; however, is that not why an hourly wage or salary is paid? Having over a decade of restaurant experience under my belt, there’s no way I could just charge a customer extra because I don’t feel like making sauce. If that was the owner, he definitely lost a customer for life and I will be oh to happy to spread the word about how he treats his patrons. The saving grace of the evening was the young lady in the front she was very pleasant and understanding."

"Finally tried Light on the Sugar here in Jax! I heard their sister locations that popped up in Orlando first were quite tasty. I’m happy to report the location in the St Johns TownCenter mall is most delectable. Here is what we ordered: Tiramisu, two latte’s (strawberry matcha with oat milk dalgona with whole milk ube cheesecake, and a dark chocolate pistachio tart. Out of all of these options, the ube cheesecake was my favorite. All not overly sweet, or undersweet. If you do try the ube cheesecake, fair warning, it will make you mouth/teeth a deep hue of purple for a few minutes. There were two girls working behind the order counter who had great suggestions of what their favorites were, as well as what the most popular orders overall usually are. There are a few suggestions I didn’t get this visit but looking forward to trying on another visit. (Puffs and macarons I visited in the late afternoon. I do recommend visiting early on if you want a visual of everything they have to offer. I had plenty to pick from but I did notice as people finished early dinner times, it did get quite crowded and less options were available to order on a typical Friday. Light on the Sugar is a bit pricier than other competitor bakeries here in Jax. This isn’t a place I’d frequent too often because it is a pricey treat; but I do think the quality is there. I loved trying this recommendation a fellow yelp elite suggested (thanks Rachel T Light on the Sugar is officially Treat O Clock friendly ; Happy to support local at lil gems like this."

"Very good food the flavors were spot on...I had the Udon Curry which was phenomenal.. the noodles were perfect. The meat pulled apart and captured the flavor of the broth. I am a big eater and the portion size wad a bit smaller than I am used to. Just a touch. I could have done with another appetizer. With that said it's no one's fault I can eat three peoples worth of food! Overall great vibe, and good experience. Staff wad friendly too. Fast. On top of it."

"I 've always loved coming here and getting either the tonkotsu soup or one of the noodle dishes while my kids love the sushi (it 's the best I 've had in town) We usually have the same server, and while it was getting pretty busy she was keeping up okay. The staff is always professional and sometimes when it 's not busy they 'll chat a little bit with me, which is nice. But when I went to cash out today I noticed the waitress looked visibly upset and was staring at the receipt from one of the checkbooks. I asked what was wrong and she admitted that a couple customers had written rude notes on them. One had condescendingly told her to take items they don 't like off their bill next time and the other was berating her for dirty dishes. I asked if it was alright if I could see the names of the customers on the papers but she said that wouldn 't be a good idea and after explaining her side of the story she excused herself to get something from the back. I got a little nosy and decided to take a peek at them while she was away and found both notes, full names on the bottoms. I 'm appalled. I have two daughters and if people were leaving her harassing notes at her place of work I 'd be finding them and raising heck. But I don 't want to get the waitress in trouble so I 'll address Kim and Edward here instead and hope it helps a little bit. Edward C, she doesn 't have the authority to take things off the bill and if she did it anyways the owner would make her pay for it. She lives by herself and doesn 't even have a family. That 's not fair to her. Next time be a grown up and use your words. Ask nicely if the owner can take it off for you. Easy! You don 't need to tell her how to do her job you are not her boss or parent. Kim M, it is not the waitresses job to babysit the dishwasher and make sure they clean the dishes properly. Not that it 's any of your business but that waitress happens to be terminally ill and it affects her vision as well as many other things. So I 'd love to hear an explanation as to how she was supposed to see a little smudge on the dishes. Next time let her know POLITELY so she can address the person who made the mistake. Aka.. not her. I had to move tables btw because I have a dog allergy and was informed you had a dog at the table????? That 's a huge health hazard and is unacceptable to bring to a restaurant. Be more considerate of staff and other patrons next time. Point is: treat your servers with respect. They are people too. It 's not your house or business. And don 't leave rude notes that also have a lot of your personal information on them. Because nosy moms like me are going to call you out on your behavior. Thank you -Sue"

"Today my thanes my journey has led me to land of olive and lamb, and while the sides were lacking the entree made up for it, now dear warriors I've eaten a good many gyro in my life, but let me tell you I've never had this one till this day, they flavor of the meat, the moist tenderness, the warm homemade lavash, this gyro was made with love, and was a hit amongst my clan, the hummus was incredible (strong onion and garlic) but I love it, and the baklava was heavenly and literally gave me goosebumps, so this is now a family favorite please if you are in need of a flavor adventure i implore you to try this cafe you surely won't be disappointed, till next time my thanes stay hungry."

"Still outstanding! I get something different each time I go and it's always delicious. *Below was from before May 2024, above is new visit 5/2/2024 Outstanding! The type of place that needs 6 stars imo. Great people who are passionate about creating the best dishes. I had the empanadas and the roast pork rice bowl add an over easy egg on top. So delicious. And had a nice conversation with several of the staff, and got to try a little house made pancetta. Jeez. Cons: their hours can be wonky for some that may try to come visit from outside the area, but I think those are even more standard now compared to just a few months ago. Call before you head down even if Google maps says they are open. Parking is a little tricky, but park off the side street that's just north of the restaurant off Edgewood. But ignore my cons because the food and friendly people are well worth multiple visits. I started eating before taking pics, sorry about that lol."
