"The first time we went there the calzone special was awesome. The second time we had a horrible experience yesterday. The waiter dropped the lemon then grabbed another behind the bar and then put his finger in my water when he returned. The boneless fingerswere round boneless rocks over cooked that took 25 minutes with buffalo sause poured over them with 3 tiny pieces of celery.Trying to get the attention of the waiter to put in the remaining order was difficult because he was all chatty with the Mgr orowner apparently. Then asked after we received the chicken if we want to put in the order after I had asked him to do so at thetime of the order. The seafood dish came but was supposed to be genuine seafood as I asked expecially the crab meat, but wasserved with a huge clump of rice plopped over 1 shrimp, 1 scallop, 1 mussel (in the shell) and a 3 inch slippery clump ofseafood sea legs all glued together served with sauce and a few vegetables costing...16$. When sending it back the excuse usedthat it is hard finding help and they are young. Not only that when we arrived there were two families with kids....the musicwas head banging heavy metal. When asked if there was a different station, the waiter said that this is the music that some guys who come into the bar like...I said there is no one at the bar....he walked away. Though the seafood dish was removed from thebill, we would not chance an exchange item. Not going back."

"Last night, we had dinner at Sienna in Smithfield to celebrate my birthday. The food was excellent as always, and our server, Mimi, was very attentive and pleasant. We have visited all three locations and have never had any issues. Our only critique is regarding the locations, two of which are situated in shopping plazas. The Smithfield location has a wall of windows facing the parking lot. Unfortunately, there was a small incident of road rage visible from our table. I would suggest decorating the windows to block the view as no one goes there for that. The bright lights from the parking lot also made it difficult to enjoy our evening dining experience. Despite this, we look forward to more delicious meals at Sienna!"

"We stayed at Home2 Suites in Smithfield and decided to stop by this restaurant for dinner. We weren't quite sure what to expect, but our first impression was positive—clean, comfortable, and a friendly staff. We started with the Ultimate Mai Tai Platter, and it was excellent, living up to all our expectations. We could have been satisfied with just that, but the appetizer was so delightful that we couldn’t resist ordering more. We tried the Twin Delight and Four Enemies, and wow! They were delicious, freshly prepared, and served with genuine smiles. Although it’s tucked away in a commercial plaza and not very easy to find, it’s definitely worth a visit. We might just make this a regular spot for us!"

"I recently attempted to place an order without an online coupon from an email promoting 20% off takeout orders. When I called the restaurant to ask how to apply the coupon code, I was told that the offer was only valid until 4:00 PM and only on weekdays, despite the email not mentioning any time restrictions. This is the second time I've encountered a similar issue with Laura's promotional offers. The email does not specify any time limits, which I find very misleading. They should be held accountable for this kind of false advertising."

"Warf Hill Brewing is excellent! I’m not from this area, but I visit friends in this area frequently. It’s very spacious, whether you sit at a table or sit at the bar. Their food, salad and drinks are great! All employees are very friendly and attentive. I sat at the bar this past visit and I had a great time with the locals, whom all described this place as a friendly environment and great food. Thank you all, at the Wharf, for all you do!"

"I went to this restaurant with my mom for Happy Hour during the week and we only had drinks. The drinks were very good and the service was top-notch. I had a delicious $8 Manhattan that was perfectly balanced and smooth, while my mom enjoyed a great $6 lemon drop. We also asked the bartender to make us something sweet off the menu, and she surprised us with a drink called a "Nutty Russian" that was made with equal parts vodka, frangelico, and kahlua. It was fantastic, like a stronger version of an espresso martini without the coffee. Jennifer was our bartender that night and she was excellent! The parking had enough spots for a decently busy night."

"Really great meal, calamari appetizer, chicken parm, veal parm, chicken cardinale with wagon wheels. A nice bottle of red wine! Dessert we took ny cheese cake and key lime pie to go those were good but not great; wishing we tried the tiramisu. Our waitress Ashley was very friendly she did have a lot of tables but still worked to make the meal a delight! We will be back!"

"Haven't even finished my sandwich (combo meal). Will definitely be taking half home! So awesome has to stop eating to complete this review. Young man suggested Dark Knight! And I tried the home made potato salad. Not like my sis' but it has me hooked! Awesome! I blindly picked this on way home because I didn't want the same! And it was a really great choice. If your in the area (Smithfield NC), put it on your list of places to eat!!!! I'll definitely go out of my way again, and maybe soon. Sure hope I try something different just to make sure. "we really wanted this place to be a jewel, but eating tonight was a scandal for pizzerias. first we had to wait a considerable time for this chaos. second, the dough smells prefabricated biscuit. the orange fat cheese looked very inconspicuous. there was a black rubbish during the tilting of the pizza slices, which was extremely hard and not a familiar spicy. it looked like being foreign material. the pizza seemed lawfully cooked much earlier on the day and to be reheated for our order. the pictures speak volumes to the problems in the kitchen. we threw the $30 (pizza slices in the mull) and went to bed without dinner. that would be our dinner and lunch tomorrow, very annoyed we $30! definitely not the half of the cost for each job worth. I would recommend bowling pizza or even cici pizzeria before returning here. simply exciting to write this review based on the look of the facility and nice staff. However, if they are willing to serve these mums, they calculate a premium when they really do not have much respect for us."

"Whenever we visit Smithfield, Taste of Smithfield is our go-to place for lunch. The food and service are consistently excellent. The restaurant is located on Main Street, and offers seating outside and inside. The open kitchen is clean and quiet (though busy). The main dining area is open with wood flooring and tables. A small bar area is situated near the entrance of the restaurant. We often order as a starter the trio of sweet potato biscuits that come with ham, molasses, and apple butter. This visit we enjoyed the Southern Pork Gent sandwich, which was a pork chop top with pimento cheese, and a bacon bourbon berry relish in a brioche bun. We got fried apples as a side dish. Delicious!! We also ordered a house salad topped with grilled chicken breast and avocado and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It came with balsamic tomatoes that were a little too sweet for me. The salad was tasty and filled me up. In addition to dining, Taste of Smithfield sells ham and other local items likes peanuts and wine."

"I agree with Beachfront that they offer great pastries, but it seems they're more reliant on their food than on customer service. I made a last-minute decision to stop by and purchase a birthday cake, and I asked if they could add some simple decorations. I apologized for the short notice and asked if they could make an exception this time, as I wasn't aware that decorations were only done for preorders. The response I received was rather blunt, with no compassion or apology whatsoever. The woman was very cold. I even mentioned that the cake was for an 82-year-old, but that didn’t seem to matter. I would have accepted the refusal more graciously if she had shown a little kindness. Overall, the interaction felt very robotic."

"Was not happy at all! When we arrived, we were bombarded by a gentleman he was nice. But keep reading the menu. Like I tried. To look over the menu to see what they had. That was our first time. He made us feel like he rushed us to make a decision. As we order, I expressed what I would like to order. My children 6 and 4 at ringing the order he tried to ring and ring. Adult plate. Which general sense was known was the reason for a lot of food for them. the order and ring process he added additional elements that I thought was with the plate. I may feel if I had time to look at the menu, I would have realized what came with what we ordered. The food has no taste and we finish spending over $85. It wasn't worth it at all. So disappointed."

"Y’all, Burrito says this is like stepping into a small town from any Hallmark movie. Think hometown, born country, southern hospitality, and calories don’t count here. If I hadn’t come with mine, you might just find ya husband, or the small town love of your life. Dumpling says small town feels and moves at a small town pace, but worth the wait and time. The hush puppies were good, but the herbed butter was the star of that show. We split a club sandwich on tomato basil bread and onion rings for the side; we split this and did not leave hungry. Solid onion rings. We left with a loaf of that tomato basil bread, cookies, a cupcake, and other bake goods. We also got a slice of their chocolate cake cheesecake, slap yo momma, this is everything Burrito wants in a cheesecake the flavor, texture, consistency, down to the graham cracker crust, I can’t even tell you the last time I had cheese cake so authentically what I was looking for and ate the crust. We would definitely return, not in a hurry ?"

"I almost don't want to write this review and reveal the hidden gem that is this restaurant. I reserved Sonia's place for my sons' first birthday party a few months ago, and she not only accommodated us but also agreed to host our event on a day when the restaurant is typically closed. The venue is ideal for a small party of 40-50 guests and has been recently renovated with a contemporary aesthetic that served as a perfect backdrop for our party decorations. Sonia allowed us to decorate the space to our liking, which enhanced the overall theme of the party. We served chicken parmesan and a variety of pizzas, all of which were a hit with our guests. The food was hot, crispy, flavorful, and everyone couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. Despite not having photos of all the pizzas, the true standout was Sonia herself. She was attentive, hospitable, and went above and beyond to cater to our quirky family. She efficiently handled the food service and made sure to interact with each guest, making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. We are truly grateful for her outstanding service."

"Tonight was an unfortunate experience. I placed an order through the app and made my way to the restaurant, only to discover it was closed due to inclement weather. I completely understand their need to shut down, but since I had already submitted my order and thought I had paid, I went inside to see if I could either retrieve my food or request a refund. Upon entering, one of the employees simply informed me that they were closed. I explained that I had already placed an order and was seeking a refund. Instead of offering assistance, she rudely shouted to her colleague, “This girl ordered on the app and wants a refund!” in a tone that felt extremely disrespectful. Another staff member approached to see what was going on, and when I politely reiterated my request, I received another dismissive reply: “It hasn’t gone through, we’re closed.” I've experienced rudeness at this location before, but tonight was the breaking point. I doubt my review will lead to any changes, but I felt it was important to share my experience because the staff's behavior was just unacceptable."

"We only waited 6 minutes before being seated on a Saturday afternoon which isn't bad. Of course I had to go to the restroom as soon as we were seated but it was super clean which was nice. Taya was our waitress and she was pleasant and attentive. I'm giving a 3 star rating because our food was not hot and it was okay. I ordered the steak and eggs with potatoes and pancakes. The steak was bland and the potatoes were dry but the eggs were great. The coffee was delicious as well. My boys had pancake combos with eggs and turkey sausage. They ate most of their food. For $89 I would have expected a slightly different experience. I'm used to Tommy's but since I was in the area decided to venture out and try something new. Tommy's is still the champ in my breakfast spots."
