"Found this place after scrolling through yelp, could not decide between sushi, ramen, or this restaurant. Nonetheless, what got me interested in this establishment was the surprising name, Chicken Meets Rice. Quite attention grabbing. This place is located in a mini food court next to the 99 Ranch Market. The manager, Jonathan, was kind and nice enough to explain and accommodate our requests to our order. What we had ordered: 1 Split Protein Box: Fried Chicken, Tofu,Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Broth, and Sweet Chili and Teriyaki Sauce. 2 Grilled Chicken Box, Sticky Rice, Veggie Broth, Teriyaki and Sweet Chili Sauce. My friend and I enjoyed every bite of our meals. The concept of chicken and rice issimple, but the flavors were so delicious and flavorful. Super healthy with protein and a medley of vegetables with the rice. The broths were a good palate cleanser and not salty at all. I had not eaten the entire day, so I was superpleased that this was my first meal of the day! Would love to come here again! :"

"Pelicana is my favorite spot for Korean Fried Chicken! A half order of the boneless chicken with the Signature sauce is enough to satisfy at least two people. The portion sizes are definitely generous for the price you pay. And you absolutely can't miss the Peli Shaken Fries! I have no idea what they add to them, but the flavor is truly addictive! It's a must-try for sure!"

"This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and I decided to try the Sichuan beef noodle soup with large flat noodles. The order was nicely packaged, with the soup and noodles in separate containers, although one of the soup containers did leak a bit. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, and the broth had a great flavor—authentic and reminiscent of the beef noodle soup I enjoyed at a small shop on a side street in Wuxi, China. The beef was delicious as well. I’ve found my new go-to spot for beef noodle soup on DoorDash!"

"The sanitary conditions in the restaurant make me worried as the plastic bowls and spoons look like they have been used for thousands of years without their original white color(which has become black). I found there was non-washed food in both bowls. The food has already dried on it. When the food was brought to the table, the mutton and chicken offal tasted very un-fresh and smelled bad. The worst thing is the spicy hotpot. The food tasted terrible. The traditional dish MALATANG hot spicy pot is different from other Chinese restaurants. It is all vegetable and tastes like pig food(Taste just like vegetables in a little spicy water). when I asked them why they didn't explain initially it is different from the traditional MALATANG spicy hot spot(name is MALATANG), they said they are a BBQ restaurant and their spicy hot pot is just like this. The vegetables tasted very bitter, I was wondering if they didn’t wash the vegetables so we could taste the pesticide., or if the vegetables had already rotten and they didn’t take out the rotten parts. I got a diarrhea at home few hours later. The restaurant never wash their dishes before they give them to the next customers and don’t wash their vegetables. I will never go to this restaurant again."

"50 percent sweet was still a bit on the sweet side for me. Plum Green Tea was surprisingly good slightly salty. Wanpo Milk Tea was solid but not amazing. I like really strong tea flavors, this was not tasteless but not my ideal."

"Horrible! They were out of just about everything. Bread cheese veggies, you name it. They were out of it. On top of that, they didn't have any sides like their salads. They didn't have any regular old tap water either. And the bathroom wasn't even working! The food when we were finally able to get it, wasn't very good. The floor was dirty and the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. I will not be going back!"

"Very nice quiet outdoor tables. The outdoor seating is very relaxing during mild weather, which is often the case in the area Not too busy weekday lunch time. Service was reasonably fast. We had a Taiwan beef soup noodle and a hot pot. Prices are a tiny bit above average. The food quality is decent. The flavors were outstanding but quite good. The noodle soup is clear and not oily. "The portion sizes have me puzzled. I've been ordering from here regularly, usually getting the same items, for about a month now, particularly their bento. The last time, the spicy pork portion was very small and lacked any vegetables. Today, the spicy pork was a bit better, but still not what it used to be, and there were hardly any vegetables. The California bibimbap has shrunk to about one-third of its original size. On a positive note, the croffle was phenomenal. Even though it arrived cold, it was still incredibly delicious. I would definitely recommend the croffle to everyone."

"So far, everything I've tried is okay. I wouldn't say this is a top wing spot for me because the flavors are pretty basic tasting. Garlic noodles and garlic fries both are pretty solid. I would order both sides again. Nashville tenders they don't really taste like Nashville flavor. They're pretty spicy but don't offer the iconic red hot drip that other spots have. I thought they were pretty dry both times I've had them. Peanut butter wings interesting flavor that's good to try for the one time. It was more sweet/sour tasting (like sweet chili sauce) with a hint of peanut butter and crushed peanuts. I was hoping it would be more peanut butter focused with a closer taste to Thai chicken satay. Buffalo chicken also pretty solid; not too sour/spicy but nothing special either. Garlic parm wings can't decide if I like it or not. Tasted more like just butter and cheese. They're still pretty good but tasted kinda plain and could use more salt/seasoning over the butter. Overall a solid 3 stars because it's not BAD, but also not amazing. I am intrigued by their big menu and want to try some of the other items."

"Came here to have lunch and ordered a few boxes. I had wanted to get the Korean steak, but as soon as the lady opened the lid, I changed my mind. The steak looked dried out and overcooked. It probably wasn 't like that when they first cooked it. It turned out that way when one kept food in the warmer for too long. I tried the BBQ chicken instead. They used thigh meat and it seemed like you can 't overcooked that too easily. Well, they proved me wrong. It was dry and salty. I really wanted to like it. The sides were not great either. My son got the kimichi, carrots, and green beans. He complained that the carrots tasted funny. My husband took a taste and declared it had the dirty water taste. The kimchi was sour and a little off. The green beans were edible. I ordered their shredded potato and they were gray in color. The chef needs to know that we eat with our eyes first. It tasted okay, but it shouldn 't be gray in color. I also got the kimchi and their seaweed salad?? I don 't remember how that tasted. Overall, it wasn 't good, but they gave out generous portion. 2 person can probably share a box with the amount of rice, meat and sides they pack in. The problem lies on the freshness and the taste of the food. My son pointed out that the giant sticker on the window stated fresh , but it didn 't really live up to that advertisement. I wish this shop the best of luck and maybe with some improvements, it will be a positive experience for its future customers."

"Food was 4, service and hospitality was 1. Overall, a meh experience. Feeling salty about not being allowed to pick a table. Were celebrating a birthday, we wanted the nice booth. The host was pretty abrupt and said we couldn 't get those seats as someone was coming . No one came. We were there for an hour. Restaurant only had 3 patrons on a weekday evening and they couldn 't accommodate a seat of our choice. Host really needs to get in a better mood, he was so curt and just made us feel sad. Meh. A server came to take our order, and he did just that. No pleasantries, nothing. What do you want , is that all , ok . No small talk, no suggestions. Came to drop our food off, and showed up for awkwardly changing plates and then bill. This is what I expect from a regular restaurant. Not from a space that charges 18% service fee and asks for tip on top of the pre tax bill tax service fee. Who does this? Tip is on pre tax bill. I just didn 't feel good about anything. Maybe I 'm just a salty person. Food was pretty good, some organs better than other. Hazari paneer tikka 2/5 bland af. I 'll leave it at that. Mushroom spinach shashlik 5/5 get this!! Juicy , and bursting with flavor. Two mushroom pieces were sandwiched with spinach filling. YUM. Galouti kabab 4/5 melt in the mouth. A tad salty. I ate this with my naan. Lasooni Palak 4/5 refreshingly different, enjoyed the taste and texture. Under salted. Overall a very forgettable experience. Definitely NOT fine dining not most definitely not upscale. Will not be back. Also absolutely no molecular gastronomy. Just regular food."
