"We started our meal with calamari, which was exactly what you'd expect: lightly breaded, seasoned with salt and pepper, and served with marinara sauce. My three daughters enjoyed it so much that they were nearly fighting over the last piece—definitely no complaints from them! Unfortunately, the salad was rather uninspired, and while the bread had a crusty exterior and was soft and warm inside, it was challenging to cut without making a mess. This part of the meal was the only aspect that could use improvement. My middle daughter absolutely loved her ravioli, which looked homemade, and devoured it along with half of her sister's meatball and half of her mom's side of pasta. This is impressive, considering she's our extremely picky eater—Rachael would rather skip a meal than eat something she doesn't like. But that night, she cleared her plate and even parts of two others! My eldest daughter enjoyed her Alfredo, and I appreciated that they offered to prepare ziti with Alfredo sauce for just a $2 upcharge. My wife was pleased with her broiled haddock, although the butter could have been lighter—definitely reminiscent of Grandma's generous portions! As for me, I ordered the Seafood fra diavolo, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The menu listed it as "diavola," which is a minor detail but indicative of the restaurant’s charm. I often seek out this dish wherever I go, and this version had several little neck clams, several PEI mussels, four large sea scallops, and four tender jumbo shrimp that weren’t at all tough. The fettuccine was hearty and impressively fresh. Honestly, I was tempted to ask for a second portion of the pasta just to soak up the remaining sauce! The dish struck the perfect balance: just spicy enough to add excitement without overwhelming heat or blandness. It was one of the best versions of fra diavolo I’ve ever had! My colleagues often say I have a discerning palate, but every element of this dish—from the shrimp to the scallops to the fettuccine—was executed flawlessly. The only downside was the price of the fish, which was $30. However, you definitely get what you pay for here. If you’re looking for disappointing quantity, there are plenty of options elsewhere. But if you want a beautifully crafted meal, I highly recommend giving this place a try. For our family of five, with an appetizer, two cocktails, and a tip, the total came to around $120."
