"Aloha!! I was tempted to try Island Bree 'z in light of all the suggestions on the RSM Facebook page. (Side note: if you want good laughs, please add yourself to the group, free comedy). Anyways, some residents had posted their pics from the visit to Island Bree 'z and the food looked very enticing! The place is up and coming. It replaces the old Akropolis restaurant, and they haven 't completely cleared out all the old decor. Upon arrival I was greeted so warmly by Chef Marcus and his warm Island spirit. He took our orders and went quickly to work...yes that 's right, he cooked everything FRESH! I ordered the North Shore Shrimp Tacos, Beef Plate, and Garlic fries! The food took a little bit to cook, but just note, it is a restaurant that was birthed from a food truck. Remember, all food is cooked to order, so be ready to wait. I am a foodie, so I will give a Chef all the time he needs to prepare my food!...once the food arrived it was so delicious and the portions were generous! My fish tacos were so freakin amazing, the shrimp was cooked to perfection. I loved the sauce and rice. My daughter loved her beef plate. The beef was cooked to the perfect tenderness. Finally, the garlic fries...uggghhh they are definitely a delicacy. The fries were cooked to crispy perfection, and the seasoning was ON POINT, by far my fave garlic fries ever. I saw another lady come in and order the rib plate...holy cow it looked delish. I will definitely order that next time. The only complaint I had was I wish there was macaroni salad served with the plate. I love eating macaroni salad with my Hawaiian food. Overall, I highly recommend Island Bree 'z if you want that North Shore food vibe. Thank you Chef Marcus, for bringing Hawaii to our little town of RSM!"
