"For drinks, I had Pellegrino while my husband opted for cranberry juice. We started with baked clams casino, buffalo wings, and New England clam chowder. For our main courses, I ordered the Maine lobster roll, and he had shrimp penne a la vodka.
The atmosphere was quite slow, as the restaurant wasn't busy at all. The music playing overhead was pleasant and at a nice volume. Unfortunately, the clams had a strange smell, which put me off from trying them. To make matters worse, the waitress delivered Manhattan clam chowder instead of the New England chowder I ordered. When she asked if she could clear our plates after she brought the food, she remarked on how little I touched my soup. I explained that I didn’t order that soup, but it was okay. She then asked if I wanted to take it home, which I declined. She turned to my husband and inquired if he wanted to take his strange, slimy salad home, but he said he was fine.
When our main dishes arrived, my husband described the shrimp penne a la vodka as chewy and undercooked, calling it gluey in texture. My lobster roll was served on a burnt bun, which I’d never encountered before. I tried to eat just the lobster meat, which was somewhat okay but not a pleasant experience overall.
The highlight of this dining experience was the Pellegrino water and the friendly woman who brought our food and asked us to return as we left. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended—two stars, one for the water and one for her. We won't be returning, as this was, by far, my worst dining experience in town lately. By the way, according to our receipt, our server's name was Bob.
UPDATE: I spent the night being sick after returning home, feeling unwell just minutes after leaving the restaurant. I rushed to the bathroom as soon as I got in. NEVER AGAIN!"
