"the best grilled cheese sandwich I had is in the cellar of chelsea market. saxelby cheesemongers is a small cheese shop serving craft and agricultural cheeses from America, meat, tapenade, jam, beer and other milk products. it is a very small, neatly arranged space. very clean and brightly illuminated. from open until 17 o'clock, a short menu with grilled cheese sandwiches is served in Saxelby’s. do not sleep on this sandwiches – especially the “Sal e Pepe”, which I think are best kept secret in grilled cheese sandwich circles! it is called the “Sal e Pepe”, the “Brooklyn salvatore ricotta, honey, salt pepper” served warm on delicious crispy buttery roasted brot. the “Sal e Pepe” is literally hot satt smooth ricotta as they bite in them, the sweet of honey cuts the taste, and the hinds of salt and pepper round the aromes. that is what it is about, the comfort food that increases its day. it is quite fill bc the heavy milk fat of ricotta, and the sandwich is completely between two. “Sal e Pepe” — $10.50 tax – good the splurg in calories as worth it is a simple decadent grilled cheese that is just delicious. sandwiches are wound to-go (no seats in this room), but there are many inside and outside seating options at chelsea marketstaff is fast efficient. definitiw with their qs on cheddar and beyond."
