"When in Texas, do as the Texans do and have some BBQ.A group of coworkers and I stepped into Cooper's given the great reviews we heard, mainly from a local that spoke to our supervisor. A look into Yelp only sealed the deal.Parking is a bit annoying around these parts, but please don't let that stop you. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious.Cooper's essentially works like this. All the meats and sides are on display. You choose what you wish to eat and they put it on a plate for you. For the meat, everything is by the pound (well, except the chicken).I don't remember what everyone got, but I stuffed myself like a little piggy. I had smoked brisket and pork, along with a side of corn on the cob and two cobblers: apple and blackberry. The pork was good, but the smoked brisket was heaven on Earth. It just fell apart from how tender it was. That and whatever sauce they bathed it in was divine. The corn on the cob, too, was buttery and fresh. My complaint is about the cobblers, more specifically the blackberry one. While delicious, it felt like inducing myself into a sugar coma. It was just too much. The apple one was less sweet, but nevertheless there comes a point when there's too much dessert and I reached it in spades at Cooper's.Would return but would recommend to not go overboard. Easier said than done, I know, but it's easy to overeat and leave waddling like a duck."
