"This is my second visit to this establishment. The first time, the food was actually pretty decent. It came within a timely manner and the food tasted okay. Today, I visited for the second time and it was a complete 180. The food was mediocre, they were out of condiments, and the wait time was outrageous. The staff seemed discombobulated and were all over the place. We went 20 minutes at a time without being seen by a waitress. The yams fries are good. But, today, we had hard substances in our yams which could not be explained by the staff. And no, it was not sugar. One of my friends that was with me did not like her fried chicken. When explained to the waitress, she didn?t seem to care, and asked ?can you describe what you didn?t like?. I?m not sure about y?all, but when I don?t like something..I just don?t like it lmao. I recommend the yams fries, I guess if you come at the right time?today was not the right time for us. Hit or miss place, I wish you all the best if you plan on attending this establishment."

"What a delightful surprise to enjoy perfectly crispy fried catfish—it was absolutely fantastic! We decided to try the jalapeño poppers and eggplant, and we were pleasantly surprised! The hush puppies were a bit on the salty side, but we still finished them all! The banana pudding and the small pecan pie were decent, but nothing extraordinary. I think we’ve found our new favorite spot for fried fish! Thank you for impressing some discerning old ladies who know their way around the kitchen!"

"I didnt even want to give any stars. I tried their chicken over rice and needless to say I will not be returning. I have never had chicken and rice as lazy and this one. Received in a hip hop chicken box with foil. I have a fork to eat, what makes them think no one will mistakenly puncture and consume the foil underneath. There’s was barely any salad in it either. Oh and might I add I had to stop somewhere to get a fork because I realized a fork wasn’t placed in my bag. Also, I ordered two drinks before I left, cashier took my money, gave change, and proceeded to walk to the back. I had to say “helloooo my drinks please” just to get what I had literally just ordered. Customer service is not great at all! Wouldn’t recommend anyone go here for the platters, maybe just the fried chicken boxes. Having workers who pay more attention to their phones instead of what their making will not take this location far."

"I stopped here for the first time last night. They did not disappoint!! I bought a Fish Chicken COMBO box. It comes with 2 choices from 2 lists, bread, french fries and coleslaw for $11. The FIRST list had 5 or 6 types of fish, Trout, Whiting, Catfish, etc) the SECOND had 5 or 6 chicken options 1/2 pound gizzard, livers, wings, 4 drumsticks). I chose Trout Drumsticks. I THOUGH for $11 dollars I'd get tweetie bird drumsticks, ABSOLUTELY NOT! They were the size of WATER BOTTLES!! The trout was thick cut large, still with skin, deep fried and SEASONED! So00o0oo good! Amazing fries, perfect portion of slaw and they put the bread under the wax paper, under the food to keep warm. Wow. They have a dessert display with tons of options, we got Peach Cobbler and Pineapple Upside-down Cake. They also had Sweet potatoe pie and others. No fountain sodas, but a huge case of bottles teas, juices sodas. THIS PLACE IS 5 STARS!! PLEASE VISIT!!"

"The young lady at the counter was rude and cold. I greeted her and she looked me dead in my face, and waited for me to recite the order. She didn?t open her mouth, and her customer service skills are trash. But my mother wanted dinner, so I continuedon. After sitting back and observing her, it became clear.They could care less about providing great customer services, and wecontinue to patronize these businesses. Aside from her, my livers were over cooked in old oil and tasteless and two sides weremissing. My mother?s food was cooked in the same old oil. We will not be returning."

"Food was very good very tasty! Jerk fries was excellent ???? but.....there was a worker in there handling my food with out a mask on ???? she had it on then she took it off and kept it off then finally put back on but her nose was exposed ! I see she had kind of mask on like a bandana so it is easy to fall down but If that is the case then get one that loop around your ear that will stay on ! I don't want anyone breathing with out a mask on in the middle of a pandemic serving"

"This place is going to be a no for me. I saw a janky chicken and fish restaurant and thought oooo they must have some good soul food. I was terribly wrong. Prices are good but food is trash. I would not trust fish that comes out this restaurant. I felt a little nauseous while eating it. The batter was salty as hell. Fries were aight, chicken was so so and banana pudding def tasted like it came out a box. I threw away over half of the food. Food was hot when I arrived 20 minutes after which was nice."

"They may not have the best customer service and all the locations arent that clean, but they have THE BEST fried chicken fried fish EVER! They unfortunately aren't Blk owned so I hate to admit it but that fried chicken fish is better than any southern grandmother's best dream. "My aunt visited for her birthday weekend and requested some excellent fish. I remembered this restaurant from my time working in Baltimore and knew there was a location on Benning Road in DC. The atmosphere was friendly, although there were a few questionable characters around, but they ended up being cool. The staff were quick and polite, and the prices were fantastic. We ordered catfish fillets, chicken wings and drums, fu, and hush puppies, although the hush puppies tasted a bit undercooked, along with some banana pudding. Let's just say we devoured that food as if it were our last meal! Everything was well-seasoned, fresh, and incredibly delicious (aside from the hush puppies). I really enjoyed stopping by to make my aunt's birthday special. I deducted one star for the doughy hush puppies, but otherwise, I would highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves good food!"

"I went there to order a bushel of crabs it took the lady about 2 to 5 minutes to get over the fact that I was spending almost $300 for crabs. After that one of the customers was looking at my granddaughter who's only 12 years old like she was a piece of meat. And the third final thing that happened is when it was time for me to get my crabs and they were ready The gentleman was very unfriendly and didn't even ask if I needed someone to help me take them to my car. In my delight I found the gentleman in the parking lot who work for them who asked me graciously could he help me and he helped me out and I tipped him That's the only thing that saved this review. He was a very nice man!"
