It's embarrassing that establishments like this can still exist in a nice part of New York. Additionally, I was shocked to see the staff handling the condiments with their hands! "My fiancé and I have been ordering from here for years. Great family run business and consistent food quality. When we get Peking duck they are always honest about wait time and the spring onions that come with it are always fresh and perfectly sliced. I hate it when people comment about service and not about food. The food I pay for is always excellent and a great value. Order from here if you can. Addressing the poor review I saw before: The phone and cash register is literally steps away from the deep fryers and kitchen proper, so any yelling voice is so you can hear the person you are talking to. You should always tip your delivery driver, ESPECIALLY if you have a large group order. $5 dollars or 20 percent of the order, whichever is more -especially in a pandemic in 2020."

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 8 years. For too long I was looking for a good Chinese spot, until I found Yummy Yummy. So legit. Grew up in nyc eating Chinese take out and this place is as good as it gets. Orange Flavored beef is a stand out, broccoli with garlic sauce, and cold sesame noodles too but honestly I've gotten take out or delivery from this place dozens of times and never been disappointed. Nice people working there and quick delivery too. Reviewing because this place deserves a lot of love and I hope they keep doing what they're doing."

"Consistent!. When it comes to good ol' Chinese American, #21 w/ egg roll combo takeout, there is ONE WORD i need to hear... Consistent. I like to find a local Chinese joint for those nights when nobody wants to cook, and all too often I have been lulled into thinking I have finally found that right place... And then My General Tso's Chicken has been over fried... The sauce is incredibly gummy... The broccoli is brown! Yikes!This is never the case with Side Wok Cafe. Every time I go, my food is just as I want it... Nothing spectacular, mind you... I'm only expecting them to NOT screw it up. But Side Wok never screws it up. Take out comes in great plastic containers, perfect for taking to work the next day... I don't quite know what else to say about this place! They just always deliver the goods...When I first moved to Indianapolis, I went on a hunt for a truly great, mom pop Chinese place like I had back home when I was a kid. This search had me way out on the east side, up in Carmel, and all around broad ripple... and I settled on Side Wok Cafe. Someday I may aspire to find that great, white whale of a Chinese joint, but until then... I am content with consistently tasty."

"The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I especially loved the egg rolls, and everything tasted really fresh. You absolutely have to try the shrimp lo mein; it was fantastic! The hot and sour soup was also amazing. Plus, the brown rice was great. I even lost a lot of weight!"

"The fried rice tasted like it was old. The rice left a sour after taste in your mouth.The eggrolls were burnt and greasy. The general TSO chicken was absolutely drenched in a thick sauce. Overall the quality of the food is really bad. Not only that but the prices were different from what was shown in the menu. I’m never coming here again. It may be cheap but that’s for a reason. Because it’s total garbage."

"I ordered vegetable fried rice and spring rolls, and they were absolutely delicious. I requested extra duck sauce, and they generously provided more than enough. "This was the first time I have ever eaten there. My first impression was that the gentleman that picked up the phone was rude and abrupt. He actually hung upon me...no thank you or see you later. They weren't much more pleasant in person either. I haveto say the sushi was good until 30 mins later. I started feeling very sick. The nausea and sweating persisted through theevening. Eventually finding myself bent over a toilet, vomiting!! The sickness continued into the next day. That was all I hadeaten and from experience I can say with certainty I had food poisoning. I wanted to call and complain but given their previousbehavior when I was just trying to place an order I assumed my complaint would go without care. "I love this place. Old school Chinese take out place in the Slam. I moved to Bedstuy more than 10 years ago and without this place and Kennedy's Fried Chicken, I would have starved to death. "I have a deadly food allergy and asked that they omit the sauce on my dish, then I could just use soy sauce. Unfortunately, they decided that they can 't do that and sent the food without calling me and I was unable to eat it. When I called, the woman argued with me about how they refuse to make it the way I had asked (which all other Chinese food restaurants have done for me). I told them that this can actually kill people when they do not take allergies seriously and her response was okay . I will never order from this restaurant again and advise all others not to either. This is a huge safety issue and unacceptable behavior displayed by the staff."

"Finally, amazing Chinese food found in Illinois after 3 years! Great taste, generous portions and great presentation. We have the chicken of general, Moo Shoo chicken, orange chicken, chicken wings and chicken roast rice. Everyone had a pronounced taste and the aroma was enough to put you in a wonderful food coma! I was surprised that it was not fat at all. This is definitely my way to the Chinese starting point."
