"We visited El Beso today and were quickly seated at a booth in the bar area. Our server promptly brought us a bowl of chips along with two bowls of salsa, which we appreciated. The salsa was quite mild—perhaps too mild for some—but it suited our tastes perfectly. Although the chips weren't warm, they were fresh.
My wife ordered tostadas, one with beans and one with beef, while I opted for chicken enchiladas with red sauce, skipping the rice. Unfortunately, my enchiladas were only lukewarm and seemed to be topped with mole sauce instead of the red sauce I had requested. I wasn't pleased with the dish at all, managing to eat just one and leaving most of the other two uneaten. The beans were a bit warmer but still not hot enough to melt the cheese.
On the other hand, my wife's tostadas were quite good, and I ended up finishing her beef tostada. Throughout the meal, our server never checked in to see how we were doing, nor did she acknowledge that I left most of my dish untouched. Overall, it was a disappointing experience."
