"HORRIBLE NEVER AGAINMy husband and I decided to stop by and try it out for dinner 7/18/221. The cashier looked like she was unhappy to be there, new nothing when asked about a burger and melt2. We placed our order and as we waited she was on her phone looking miserable! My food was done and placed on the counter by the cook, I sat and watched her text on her phone for 5 minutes before I got up and made noise hoping she would see my food sitting there.. she walked to the register and continued texting till she looked back and seen my food...3. I ordered a chicken melt, asked her IF THEY ADD MAYO ... NO MAYO PLEASE, she said you want it plain? NOOOO as is just no MAYO if added... my husband asked for a burger NO PICKLE NO TOMATOES AND RAW ONIONS... the receipt noted the burger correct..like he asked4. His burger had all he DIDN'T WANT pickles, tomatoesand grilledonions ... my chicken melt was a Fried Chicken Melt NO GRILLED ONIONS .... AND ON WHITE not sourdough... totally wrong...Husband said Fries tasted like they were done at 11am burger was not good and my patty melt was set aside since I don't do fried chicken!!! Waste of money and time... hitting subway like usual... ? ? ? to this place .."

"I hadn't eaten at a Grandy's in ages, but I stumbled upon one and decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed! The staff was quick and friendly, and they really knew their fish. I opted for the fish along with mac and cheese, green beans, and okra. The employee at the counter mentioned that the fish would take a few minutes to cook, but assured me it would be worth the wait—and she was right. The fish was fresh and very well-seasoned for a fast food place. The mac and cheese was delightful and flavorful, and the green beans and okra were good as well. If you get the chance, definitely check this place out!"

"We had an outstanding experience at Grandy's of Greenville! The service was exceptional, and the food was truly excellent—everything was made fresh, right on the spot! Each dish was made to order. The cashier was very considerate and informed us about the wait time upfront, ensuring we felt comfortable before we made our payment. Once again, the customer service was top-notch! Since it was later in the evening, the Dinner Rolls and Sweet Tea weren't as fresh as they could have been, but that didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment. Thank you, Grandy's of Greenville, for a fantastic meal! Happy truck drivers here!"

"Thank you to the ower for responding to my rating. However i am really baffled that i have added a review twice and it keep disappearing. My review has not chage. I have been eating at Grandy's since the early eighty's. I have always love eating there. I have eaten at this location on many different occasions. Never had a real issue with service, the food or prices but within the last year i notice the restaurant just seem like they were going down. I tried the Cooper street location and was very disappointed with the service and the food was not ok. So I tried this location and I got my favorite chicken fried steak. The meal was very disappointing. Chicken fried steak was cold and hard the potatoes was cold also. Service was unreal. They were not busy but it took forever to get through the line and had to get up and track down a waitress to get an additional order. The restraunt just seem like it was disorganized and left me feeling uneasy. I stll love Grandy's breafast and those biscuits the best! I am updating my ratings not my review at this time. I have been in contact with Jessie C. One of the area managers on behalf of Grandy's Restaurant. He has assured me that he has read my concerns and addressed them. I'm still utterly amazed that someone actually reads these reviews and act on them. I am taking Jessie at his word that if i have any problems at any future visits the manager will address it immediately. Thanks Jessie!"

"First time I have been here, and it was definitely good food. I came here hoping to get some breakfast, but they weren't serving breakfast, so I had to get some supper. I got their grilled chicken sandwich, and it was really good. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The fries I got were hot and not greasy. I definitely can wait to see how their breakfast is."

"This was my first visit to this Grandy's location and my first time to ever eat Grandy's chicken. Had the lunch buffet on a Sunday afternoon. The chicken was great. The sweet tea is incredible. The rolls amazing. Magnificent mashed potatoes. HOWEVER, the gravy had a thick film on the top of it from not being stirred and/or kept fresh. I only ate fried and baked chicken, mashed potatoes with the questionable looking gravy and dinner rolls. In spite of the look, everything tasted great and the price including a large tea was just under $12. Worth it and I will be back."

"The restaurant is situated right in the heart of the action. Overall, I found the service, cleanliness, and food quality to be excellent. I could be picky and note that the rolls weren't quite up to the standards of the original Grandy's, which made theirs fresh daily. Bob Evan's rolls are definitely better. However, the chicken was fantastic! There were some issues with the bread being a bit tough, but the flavor was outstanding. The hot food was served piping hot, and the cold dishes were refreshingly cold. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to drive 70 miles to eat here again."

"*Updated* 5-10-23: It’s clear that there’s a new owner. They seem to be relying heavily on the reputation built by the previous management. The cashier was lacking in personality, which was disappointing. The food is somewhat reminiscent of what it used to be, but it’s definitely altered. The prices have increased significantly, which is frustrating. Unfortunately, I think I’m done with what had been one of my favorite spots for over 22 years. I’ve been coming here for years and still appreciate its great quality—it really is a hidden gem."
