"I have been ordering from this restaurant for years, and I am grateful to the owners who opened it in 2008 because it allowed me to enjoy my mother's favorite food. I will always remember their kindness. However, I had a disappointing experience yesterday. I placed an order and was told it would take 45 minutes. Instead, we received a chef's salad that was warm and soggy, alongside a cold pizza.
When the delivery driver arrived—after dropping the food carrier—he handed me the receipts for my signature and a tip. Unfortunately, I didn’t leave a tip this time because the order was late. The young man remarked that I should have been informed about the delay. I explained that I was told it would take 45 minutes to an hour. I called at 4:30 PM, and the salad didn’t arrive until 6:00 PM. By that time, it was warm and soaked, while the pizza was cold. I can at least reheat the pizza, but the salad was beyond saving. Have you ever had a chef's salad so warm that it releases liquid? I ended up tossing it in the trash, which felt like a waste of money.
The only thing I can say is that if you order delivery, I hope you live close by. When I called an hour and a half later to ask about our order, the person on the line casually said, "Oh, she just called; she should be there soon," without offering any apology for the delay. Life goes on, I suppose, and the sun sets. Thanks for reading my story about Capri. I will be sharing our experience on social media."
