"I'm giving this restaurant two stars primarily because our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives stop. I suspect the food may have been reheated, possibly because we arrived just before 8:00 PM. I ordered the orange chicken, but it had an odd taste. They informed us they'd run out of fried rice and didn’t seem willing to make more, leaving us with the choice of white rice or lo mein. My husband requested a half-and-half portion of rice and lo mein, but the waitress wasn't sure if that was possible, and ultimately, he only received the white rice. Our meals were served in less than five minutes, which leads me to believe they may have been pre-prepared and stored, explaining why we couldn't get a substitution. Everything was served in plastic containers, even the water (which we weren't charged for). The sweet and sour pork had a nice crispiness, but my orange chicken was quite soggy, and the noodles were just mediocre. I was hoping for a better experience; there aren't many good Chinese restaurants in the area. We should have taken the emptiness of the restaurant as a sign but wanted to give them a chance. If someone could create decent Chinese food here, they'd likely do very well. Additionally, our fortune cookie contained a rather negative message, which was a surprising touch."
