"Placed delivery order online. Some was missing. Called them, they proceded to tell us that we had to come get our own missing order because we were too far away. They then continued to say we are so busy and have other things to do that we just cant bring you your missing food Let me get this straight.. you mess up a 70$ order, dont deliver it all and then tell us its our responsibility to come get the items you forgot. Here is the thing, did you ever think that we ordered delivery in the first place because we had things going on as well. So we go to pick up the missing dinner ourselves because we wont eat in front of the person missing food. We get there, have to wait for you to prepare it, get home and of course the original order is cold by now. You have an extreme lack of people skills and customer service. Grub hub tried to resolve the issue but informed us that you specifically denied us any discount on this matter.. A lack of planning on your part doesn 't constitute and emergency on mine. In other words, you staffed one driver for the day and apparently got swamped. If that being the case when you screw up.....FIX IT! Also it says we live 3.5 miles away.. maybe you should change your radius if we are too far"

"The food was outstanding. Our group of nine each ordered different dishes, and everyone enjoyed their meal. However, the service left something to be desired. We arrived right as the restaurant opened and were seated quickly, with our food arriving on time. But as the restaurant filled up, we had no further interaction with our server. "I’ve been visiting this restaurant for over 25 years, and they have consistently served my family, including my grandparents, with hot, fresh, and quick meals during that time. I haven’t come across a Chinese restaurant that can match their quality. I’ve lived in various places such as Vegas, Korea, Seattle, San Antonio, Virginia, Orlando, and Washington DC, but I have yet to find a Chinese eatery that compares. This place is a true mom-and-pop shop that has been part of the neighborhood for so long that I've watched their child grow from a baby into a young man. They've watched me and my cousins grow up too, and now we bring our kids here whenever I'm in town."

"Delicious, affordable, so much flavor and excellent portions. After eating at Lucky Bamboo, this place rocks for Chinese food in Newark. No chicken and carrots in the delicious egg drop soup. Plenty of meat in the portions. Not a fan of the convenience fee for online ordering, but that is my only complaint. You can even get an extra side of sauce for only $1 and the plain fried rice does not cost extra. I love Chinese food and was very worried after having Lucky Bamboo that there weren't any great places in Newark. Not the case."

"We ordered food to go for a large group dinner and everything came out delicious! The man who took my phone order was super sweet and answered all my questions. My husband said they were all even nicer in person when he picked up our order. We got the spare ribs, fried rice, egg rolls, general Tso’s chicken, sesame chicken, lo mein, and veggies in brown sauce. We will definitely be back! "1st time we ordered we were thrilled. Would have rated this place a 5. 2nd time we ordered, they have lost our business. Both orders were through Grub Hub. Apparently they do not use grub hub drivers, they use their own. After waiting an hour I saw a voicemail asking if we ordered food. I do not answer numbers I don’t know; that have no identification. The GH app said the food was on its way. I called them back, and the lady on the phone said she will “send him back”. I asked if there was a problem and she said “no, I called you several Times. Just want to know if you ordered food.” Now, I have a business, and when someone sends me an order, I get all their information for delivery. So if you have my phone and address in front of you, and we are not family or friends, then it is fair to assume I placed an order. So I asked how much longer and she said 20 minutes—As long as we want it...why wouldn’t we? The language barrier was hard enough but her side conversations and distance from the phone made it even worse. If you want to use your own driver then don’t be part of GH. Our food was just delivered at 8:20 and the app said arrived at 8:05. Seriously! The food is very good, but customer service needs work."

"I had a disappointing experience with this restaurant. When I called to place my order, I was greeted by children on the phone who lacked proper manners. I ordered wonton soup along with my meals and specifically asked if the soup was included in the bag; they assured me it was. However, when I got home, there was no soup. I called back to inquire, and they informed me that they didn't have any available. I felt cheated. Although the food has always been good in the past, the rude behavior on the phone has been a recurring issue. It's clear they don't prioritize customer service, so I'm going to start looking for a new place to order from."

"The cold peanut noodles were a disaster; it felt like they just scooped a dollop of peanut butter on top—they were so thick I couldn't even mix it in with the overcooked noodles, and it didn't resemble a sauce at all. The egg roll was far from fresh. The only positive note I can make is that they were generous with the portions, which I would have appreciated if the food had been good. However, for me, quality is far more important than quantity! I cannot recommend this place at all."
