"We stopped on a trip to Eastern Oregon. I hadn't been to Abby's in years because I went gf/plant-based and conventional pizza doesn't work for me but I have fond memories of Abby's being the best pizza. My travel partner was looking forward to pizza and a salad bar. Turns out this Abby's doesn't have a salad bar anymore but that was okay because the salad they made for him was fresh and tasty with plenty of toppings. He also enjoyed the individual chicken barbecue pizza. The General Manager, Melissa, took our order and she was great! Witty, personable, helpful, professional. I ate beforehand because I knew I couldn't eat anything there. But after we chatted, she made a point of checking the gf crusts and it turns out they are safe for me to eat. She was clearly knowledgeable about gf sensitivities and supportive of me being plant-based. Although I missed my chance to have my own meal there that visit, based on our experience there and my confidence in Melissa's ability to feed me safely, we will definitely be eating there together the next time we pass through."
