"We stopped for lunch on our way to catch the tram and discovered an incredible rib restaurant! The portions were enormous, and we left with three packed takeout boxes. Even my 14-year-old, who can eat a lot, couldn’t finish his order. My husband found the paper towels on the table handy—he used them almost like napkins! One of our friends was so full he couldn't finish his last rib, but he managed to tackle the 4-pound bread pudding. We shared a lot of laughs during our meal. My baked potato was delicious, even though I don't eat meat. A big thanks to the staff for welcoming us in, despite the fact that they were closing in just seven minutes (we had no idea). I tried to decline, but they insisted we come in, saying it wasn’t a problem at all."

"When you pull up 10 minutes before they close on a Wednesday night, you at least think they will still be open to sell you a hot dog as take out. But then to pull on the door and have the guy yell to you that they they are closed is a disappointment.I know what it is like to work in a restaurant and the last customer is the last guy you want to see, but here I was hungry for a fast take out.I have hung with you during covid and before that your other problems but you left me hungry when you should have been open."

"After reading the reviews, I wasn't aware that you had to order inside before picking up your food at the window. However, the gentleman at the counter let me order at the window without mentioning the usual process at all. The Chicago dog "dragged through the garden," topped with vinaigrette cucumbers, was absolutely delicious! The fries were just how I like them—thick and crispy. Even the Coke had the perfect balance of syrup and carbonation. I felt great supporting this local spot over Portillo's down the street. It's important to keep our mom-and-pop food stands thriving; they really add to the charm of the Chicago suburbs!"

"We went here for a Mother’s Day lunch before heading to the beach. After waiting some time for food, I noticed the receipt and we were charged for an extra combo. I went to the cashier to fix it and she was supposed to take off the additional $6 plus tax and credit card fee. When I looked at the receipt it was for $5.50 not even the amount of the meal. When I brought it to the attention of the server he tried to get it fixed but it didn’t happen. When we got our food, there was a hair grilled into one of the burgers so we had to return it and wait for this meal. It just got later and everyone was already done except for this meal. I tried calling the restaurant later to fix the charge issue and when I pulled up the credit card to reference the charge I noticed the cashier did not reverse the charge but actually charged me. So now I paid twice for something I did not receive. I contacted the restaurant at least 4 times to get this resolved and was told the manager would call but never did and every time I called he was not there. I don’t give bad reviews because I know people have off days. But to ignore an issue like this is disappointing to say the least. The right thing to do would be to reverse the whole thing at this point. We paid over $84 for 2 combos and 2 single burgers and a juice."

"I had a taste for eggplant parmesan , and my daughter had a taste for chicken Parmesan. So, we went to Gus’s to place an order for the aforementioned. We enjoyed the smell of the food as we were driving home. However, when we got home, we took the dishes out of the bag, and knew we would have a delightful dinner. The food was bland, had hardly any sauce, and had two small slices of eggplant with lots of ziti noodles, and the very same with the chicken parm…small, cut-up pieces of chicken. We were not pleased with our meals at all!! The specialties may consist of pizza of all varieties, BUT this was my first visit, and I will go elsewhere for genuine Italian food!"

"To make matters worse, I was still charged for the appetizer after returning it untouched. When I inquired about it, the waitress rudely told me they wouldn't take it off the bill just because I didn't like it. She never offered to suggest something else or check if I needed anything. Instead, she rolled her eyes and became visibly annoyed as my friend tried to help her 5-year-old son choose a side for his kids meal. When I mentioned that I wouldn’t be returning, her response was, "That's fine, you don’t have to tip me either." I was polite the entire time, which made her behavior even more frustrating."

"One of my favorite restaurants in the world!!! NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING! Have you tried their spaghetti??? My mom NEEDS it every single week. Today, I got a stromboli for 9.99 and I had to take the other half of it home because it was A LOT. Also, their pizza is amazing! I've loved every single menu item I've tried in this place and I will keep recommending people to visit this gem. The service is also very good. Jeff is awesome and very efficient! This place can't rest because every time one order is done, someone else walks in for take-out/dine-in and then calls come in for delivery. Yet with all that, they manage to keep the quality of the place high."

"We went here on Mother’s Day because we’ve been wanting to check it out since we’ve heard good things, unfortunately our experience was not as we hoped. It was very slow, maybe 30% occupancy, around 5pm. We were seated and when we gave our drink orders we also ordered the calamari. I ordered a cocktail and everyone else ordered pop. Well they all got their drinks, calamari came out, and then it was finished and still I had no drink, not even a water was offered. Calamari was ok, it was meaty so that was a plus but the dipping sauce was lackluster. I had to flag down the waitress to tell her to just cancel the cocktail and bring me a coke instead since we had already been there for a good 30 minutes at that point. She came back with the pop and cocktail but I didn’t want it at that point so she took it back and the manager removed it from the bill. We ordered the bbq chicken pizza to share. The chicken on the pizza tasted like 3 day old chicken. We all literally removed the cheese from the dough and peeled off all the chicken from each slice. Waitress came 15 minutes after the pizza was delivered to see how everything was and I said not good but all she said was “oh”. Unfortunate to have such a crappy experience, especially on Mother’s Day. Definitely not going back. PSA: Don’t order the bbq chicken pizza "

"It's a great place to eat a bit late at night. Because it's such a great place, it's always busy when we stop there, which says a lot. The food was consistently great, and the menu is huge. It beats any fast food chain. If you're in Fairport and you haven't tried Fairport Hots, you're missing. The staff was always very nice, the facility was always clean when we stop, the service is fast what you can ask more?"

"We went last night with my in-laws and had a wonderful time. Travis was out server and he really took care of us, and frankly is the primary reason I'm leaving a review. Promote that man! But really, he was great, and the food and atmosphere sealed it. You truly get a chance to see why they call Austin the violet crown from up on the hill, just spectacular."
