"When I called, I was left on hold for several minutes, even though it was 8 PM and the restaurant didn’t seem busy at all. When someone finally answered, the call quality was terrible; I could barely hear the woman and there was a lot of background noise as if I were speaking to a call center. I tried to ignore these distractions and continued with my order.
As I was placing the dinner box order again, I was informed they were still out of breadsticks. I asked if they could substitute them with something else, like extra cinnamon sticks or pasta, but they couldn’t do that. Then I inquired about just ordering the dinner box without the breadsticks at full price, and they declined that as well. Growing frustrated, I abandoned the dinner box idea and opted for a pizza and some pasta instead. To my disappointment, they were out of Alfredo pasta as well.
I thought I could at least get a deep-dish pizza, but, unsurprisingly, they were unable to make more of those either. While trying to place my order online, I noted that a large pizza was only $7.99, so I gave that a shot instead. After customizing my pizza with toppings and crust type, the representative quoted me a final price of around $14 after tax. I found that ridiculous considering the website advertised it for $8! But eager to eat, I decided to go ahead with it.
After waiting for my pizza to cook, I picked it up, but once I got home and unboxed it, I noticed the pizza looked smaller than usual (maybe it was just my perception) and the crust was unflavored, despite my request for garlic. Overall, this experience was quite unpleasant, and while I do enjoy Pizza Hut pizza, I can't say I'll be ordering from them again."
